The Gray-Scott Reaction-Diffusion system in One Dimension  

Here are a few examples of the Gray-Scott system in one dimension.

Each of these images shows the evolution through time of a single one-dimensional system. The top of the image is the system's initial configuration, and time increases along the vertical axis.

This system is with F=0.018, k=0.047. The same parameters in two dimensions produce the patterns shown here.




This system is with F=0.02, k=0.047. The k is the same as above and the F is a little higher.




This system is with F=0.025, k=0.0547. A system with similar parameters in two dimensions is shown here.
