We ourselves are in a video game/simulation, where we are really controlled/watched over by a higher power.
We ordinary people wil never figure this out, so the people that do know got The Sims created to laugh in our faces that we are really playing a game based on our own universe, but we will never know that.

I honesty think about this. What if we ARE the beings running the sims, but we lack our real memories. The technology would be so unfathomably advanced to even run a simulation like this, that altering perception to such a degree would be child's play.
Why would they do this? Who knows? Maybe they just like seeing how far their creations can get before wiping themselves out. Maybe the people who have it the hardest in life are avatars of aliens that are competing for a higher "gaming" reward. "If you survive long enough, you'll earn 1 quadrillion bdgdhsjazs!" And all the rich and powerful people are aliens playing on "Easy" difficulty.

Well, the egg video says that everyone is actually the same person in different lifetimes, so my consciousness is the same as yours, but neither of us remember our past life. So everyone is connected, and if you bully someone, you are bullying yourself. "Treat others the way you want to be treated" because what if this is true and they are you, in a previous or later lifetime, then every action you make is actually effecting you... But it's just a theory, and a pretty cool one at that.

i'm here because of a dream... i felt like i woke up, but I was stuck. not as a sleep paralysis stuck, but as a dream in a dream stuck. When i thought i woke up i couldn't see anything just a thought image that no matter if i opened or closed my eyes the same image was stuck in a though... to better explain it was like when you close your eyes and think of something...also, I couldn't feel anything. It seem to feel like my brain was the only thing alive/awake and everything else was not working/a sleep.

Here's my argument... consciousness doesn't have to be simulated. Why couldn't consciousness just get "beamed in" to our brains? In this theory, our brains are basically receivers, just like a Tv antenna. Our consciousness comes from somewhere else... from a dimension outside of our 3D reality. Therefore, in this simulation, there would be no need to simulate consciousness. It gets sent to our brains, where it adjusts to this reality and forgets where it came from and everything before this. So we think this is our only reality here on Earth, even though it's really not.
Also, there would be no need to simulate the world around us when no one is observing it. Just like the famous light experiment in which light takes the form of a particle or wave when it is observed, the reality we perceive could be generated instantly (or at the speed of light) when we are observing it. This could be built into the program. Everything that is not being observed by a conscious being (human or animal) literally does not exist.
These are my personal beliefs on the subject:
I believe that reality as we know it is a simulation, but not a computer simulation. It's better described as a spiritual simulation. I believe that our consciousness is more powerful that we understand, and it literally can create it's own reality for itself. We are incredibly powerful beings! We come from source consciousness, which you could call God if you wanted to. We are made up of this, therefore God is a part of us because we were generated from source consciousness. There is no need to be afraid of being in a simulation, because we created this reality for ourselves so that we could learn and grow and experience it. We are spiritual beings having a human experience. And it is an incredible gift to be here.

"Reality" is forever beyond our grasp (depending what you think it is).
Why?
I'm glad you ask.
It is because we are thinking things and the entire content of our minds has arrived there via senses and reasonable massage.
One does not see the rock itself, one sees only its surface.
Our eyes translate the light into many thousands of streams of neural signals that encode the scene.
These stream enter the brain.
The flowing coded data is constantly compared with memory and when there's a match the person says "I see a rock" and synthesizes a more complete conception based on experience.
But there is no rock inside the brain, no rock inside the mind, there is only coded pattern, call it thought.
The thought is not the rock but only its reflection. (You like that little word play there? It works because 'think' and 'reflect' are synonyms in English).
And, as you well know, the only kind of things that can exist in minds are thoughts.
Thus we are trapped in a world of thought and if we say that what we see is actual reality we make an obvious error.
Unless of course we assert instead that thought is our reality.
I'm ok with that.
But the really cool aspect of the Matrix are its native denizens, the Oracle, the Architect, the agents, the Merovingian and Persephone, the key maker, little Sati and her parent programs Rama-Kandra and Kamala, etc.
