Creating microscopic features by shooting electrons at plastic.
Great video, Peter! I'm eager to watch the whole series.
As far as I can tell, you're the first on YouTube to try electron beam patterning for homemade semiconductors. Very cool!
Thanks :) I'm not the first to publish a video on this, though It took me a while to get around to editing it and by then @BreakingTaps had already published his video.

And I already like and subscribe..
Watching the monitor draw the external control inputs was really quite fascinating :)
and yes, even the mirrored QR code works :P
Back in the early 1970s I use to work on an electron beam recorder. It would take microfilm from atmosphere into a vacuum tube and draw stroke characters to print out data (words, sentences etc). Pretty old technology now.
If machine learning AI is an old technology and large language models are a new technology. Are you saying that lithography techniques are projected as opposed to using a SEB?
That was incredible please make more videos
Great work!
Very cool!
this is EPIC!!!!
More power to you
Interesting. Hope I use this to make PCBs and also ICs…
yes SEM repair videos
How do you search for used high-end equipment? what places carry them in Germany and The EU
Mostly eBay, kleinanzeigen (germany), marktplaats (netherlands), auction websites, labexchange. There are also some online communities where people offer used equipment, but it's true that it's a lot harder to find cheap gear here than it seems to be for the US folks.

Amazing work! Really love watching the analog CRT vector out the shapes, super satisfying. Congrats on getting such good patterns, can't wait to see future projects with this, and ++ to seeing more about the repair work :)
