We got a cube race on our hands now?

@LumirayYT - 2023-02-06

You bet!

@LumirayYT - 2023-02-06

You bet!

@mihael64 - 2023-02-15

@@LumirayYT Heck yeah

@chemistryofquestionablequa6252 - 2023-02-16

It's looking like Tom is going to lose, but he's busy with his PhD.

@Knobelbernd - 2023-02-17

Luminary you are German right?

@Grak70 - 2023-02-16

I’m almost as excited to see you succeed as I am to see Tom’s reaction to you beating him to the cubane 😆

@supercraquelin9510 - 2023-03-24

Wow, I really love that you explain everything you do, I am studying in chemical engineering!

@pezboy715 - 2023-04-20

Holy shit, I’m here from Tom’s vid and I gotta tell you that your intro roast of him made me laugh so hard that I was crying and wheezing 😂

@sciencething1449 - 2023-02-18

I cant wait for the moment that more and more hobby chemists aquire the cube and explore its properties, totally epic video!!

@MrSonny6155 - 2023-03-09

Poor guy is still stuck on his reptile lamps and thesis. GG in advance.

@isocle - 2023-04-06

This is an awesome video! I'm looking forward to bragging about being one of your early subs when this channel blows up haha :)

@jhyland87 - 2023-02-06

So that's three youtubers all going after cubane... awesome

@LumirayYT - 2023-02-06

Three on Youtube. I know about 5 more who are also making it xD

@galymzhanmoldagulov4395 - 2023-12-30

Wow! Just wow! This was such an entertaining and nicely explained video. I recently started org synthesis grad school and saw some weird looking glassware in the lab, for which I didn't know a proper use, but after watching your video now I know what Dean-Stark apparatus and a cow adapter! :D

@crabcrab2024 - 2023-02-21

I like the filming, the music, the comments and, most of all, the educational quality. I’ll be waiting for new videos with impatience!

@Moritz___ - 2023-05-14

Wow das ist insane qualität!!!
Die montagen die musik die bilder WOW
ABBONIERT!

@nomcopterlabs - 2023-02-07

Great video! Love your editing and voiceover style. I think getting a better microphone or running your voiceover through something like adobe podcast speech enhancer would go a long way in making it feel more professional. But this is exciting! I look forward to watching your journey.

@LumirayYT - 2023-02-07

Thanks man! Currently using audacity for my audio. Might be able to get something out of that

@morgan0 - 2023-03-28

adobe podcast speech enhance is free and great. also audacity’s declip is the best i’ve found yet, beating a paid plugin i tried by a huge margin, if you ever find yourself needing to fix clipped audio

@pottervi - 2023-02-24

Just found your channel. Love your video style. And the quality is great

@jamesg1367 - 2023-02-07

Great editing skills! Nice all around. I'll be back for more of THIS.

@infectedrainbow - 2023-02-25

That background music through me for a loop...I thought I was in the VAB for a sec.

@digital.kontrol - 2023-02-15

Great video, looking forward to more!!

@lilyp4369 - 2023-02-06

awesome video. great camera work and editing! really impressed for such a new channel. looking forward to the next video

@williamackerson_chemist - 2023-02-21

I really love how he doesn't cut out the washes cuz I don't get to skip em either when I'm in the lab

@alcyonecrucis - 2023-02-12

challenger appeared

@nolansykinsley3734 - 2023-02-18

Dude, I watched your other video and this one came up too and watched it. I decided to sub and took a look for more vids but these are just the two, can't wait to see more! Loving the sudden influx of new high quality science channels in the past few months.

@SaffronRavenspear - 2023-07-05

Amazing video mate!

@tomh2628 - 2023-02-07

I just wanted to say great job on the video, I'm looking forward to the rest of the series!

@nurulhasan3953 - 2023-03-16

C'mon man. You're really great at this. Keep making videos on synthetic organic chemistry. I've subscribed your channel. Wonderful.

@sirjaustin9140 - 2023-02-12

epic best off luck with the synthesis and looking forward to the series

@cowhidemusic8904 - 2023-03-31

I see your TLC skills are on par with Extractions&Ire!

@NicholasA231 - 2023-04-12

Great video! I've found several new chem channels recently that are outstanding. I really appreciated you going into the mechanism in the detail that you did. As someone who is trying to get around to learning o-chem properly it's a great motivator. Some others talk about the reactions a bit, but yours was among the best in terms of giving me hope of being able to learn this stuff. Thanks!

@theginganinjaofficial - 2023-03-29

My money is on the bootlegger E&F(I).... always been a fan of his from way back.

@thechemist3787 - 2023-02-17

What an amazing video for such a young channel!

@Neym - 2023-02-23

Hey this is exciting! Tom has been stuck for quite a while now. I am looking forward to see your progress in upcoming video's. Great setup too btw, maybe use white background though. Good luck!

- 2023-03-05

Nice work! Good to see so many people putting out interesting content in this area.
Small point from one german chemist to another: "Educt" is not really used except for german PhD's and Postdocs, everybody else says "starting material" or "substrate".

@idothings6685 - 2023-02-24

Oh God at first i thought you were going to make it in one video... I was worried for Tom's sanity.

@petkotzvetkov6528 - 2023-03-01

Man, you are doing great, great job. Great editing!

@Kanal-ns4sq - 2023-03-22

Nice Video! Got a new sub. Especially the explanation of the steps was very good and understandable for someone who is in the 3d semester of the bachelor rn

@plokoon4217 - 2023-04-10

I just discovered your channel and it's great, keep on making videos you got huge potential.

@tersecleric2 - 2023-02-24

Best chem youtuber

@defenestrated23 - 2023-02-06

@deshazo_henry - 2024-03-19

I just recently got my Cuban t-shirt!!

@popcat8741 - 2023-12-07

4:51 it's very impressing! 20.000

@chemistryofquestionablequa6252 - 2023-02-16

Maxfieldmed is making cubane too!

@ikarus1111a - 2023-04-03

I love it when they say "it's probably fine"

@cvspvr - 2023-03-03

i was honestly expecting you to synthesise cubane in just one video like an absolute chad, bypassing all of tom's multiple videos about tar and reptile lamps

@LumirayYT - 2023-03-03

Sorry lad i'm not that fast

@benfairlamb1760 - 2023-02-16

Awesome video. Now I have 2 cubane series to watch. Taking bets on who will finish first 😂

@SomeSortaPro - 2023-02-22

this is a dream come true for me. we need more! instant sub

@drfoop - 2023-02-16

Glad to see that chemistry is yellow everywhere.

@eprohoda - 2023-02-05

super!outstanding footage!😲

@bdnugget - 2023-02-11

Based

@ScatteredParticles - 2023-03-28

The reason you got a huge volume of liquid from your Dean-Stark reflux is that toluene and ethylene glycol form an azeotrope, which makes these acetal formations in toluene much more annoying.

@LumirayYT - 2023-03-28

I didnt know that. Can also explain the huge aqeous layer. But still the yield is alrivht so thats fine

@copperchopper4626 - 2023-02-22

bro if you beat tom he gonna be so mad man but kuddos and best of luck to you for future cube adventures

@howl4838 - 2023-02-22

I'm invested,

@SGregW - 2023-02-16

Great video production! Looking forward to your synthesis project. Yes indeed - Cubane video in YouTube sidebar is the ultimate clickbait for chemgeeks.
