........that bee dance for which a German scientist received a Nobel Prize has now been rebuked..Also it appears that bees can sense electric fields . .praps Cody should look into it. Bees can be trained like dogs for a reward to fly to certain odours.

While getting his haircut, do you think he talked about all the charcoal he's eaten?
This guy touches mercury with his hands but uses gloves to open seltzer.
I was thinking he was wearing the gloves so he wouldnt warm the seltzer. I feel like assuming hes afraid or overly cautious for no reason would be insulting his intelligence.
Have you ever tried opening sealed bottle with just your bare hands? It'll tear them up

Mercury really isn’t that dangerous. If you eat tuna everyday you are far more likely to get mercury poisoning than if you swish metallic mercury around in your mouth twice a year. So touching it once for views is far less dangerous than driving to work in the morning.

That’s it, from now on I’m referring to all my units by their usage, not their names. So it’s 4 time units before I have to go out, and I’ll drive 8 distance units to get there.

When I was at school studying physics some 25 years ago (I've won my country Olympiad on Physics once and 2 3rd places) I had few somewhat old textbooks with olimpiad-level problems that used CGS units (centimetre-gram-second). So while it was helpful to think of them just like units, you'd be very careful with the constants in equations.

@BA It was cool but it did screwed me up later in University by blowing my ego just too much, it was tough few years recovery. But in school days I was smart, cool and popular teen. Not so much now (and I like it this way better:)

I loved the editing in this video. I really liked how you cut the audio while speeding up the video, but then still had it sync perfectly after the speed up. It kept you from having to do VO AND you still get your DiResta speed up shot. I honestly will remember this method for my own use later

Thank you Cody, you made this video right in time! I'm studying chemistry and have been wondering how the partial pressure affected the equilibrium and you explained just that. The way I understand it from your video is that only the pressure of the carbon dioxide is important for the solution's concentration, in this situation. In theory it doesn't matter what pressure there is in the container of any other gas involved.
Gotta love partial pressures I automatically work with them when doing calculations but I still don’t really expect in real life (unless I just did the reaction/ calculations and since I am a geologist and not a chemist the reaction usually happens long long ago and I am looking at remnants)

Thank you for this clear demonstration of Dalton's partial pressure law. Visible, explainable, and simple - for a complex idea. Perhaps another idea would be why it's more difficult to breathe at sea level with high H20 vapor pressure in the air.
Great video! This is one of the most tangible examples of Dalton's law of partial pressures that I've ever seen.
With the way his hair is cut and how it matches with his beard, all i can think is Reznov going "Freedom for you Mason; not for me."
Perfect comic timing of that last dropping can, too.
Things I learned from this video: my cat has either an interest in science or empty beverage cans lol, and Cody is either sick of the long hair or has a new girlfriend.

This concept, that speed of reaction, surface equilibrium, osmotic pressure are dependent on partial pressure only was single most amazing thing for me I discovered in Chemistry class in University. As a physics boy I thought of pressure as something universal, almost independent of medium before that.
I did not expect the hair cut Cody, it looks nice btw.
