6 hours ago: Wife angry because I didn't notice haircut.
Now: Hey! Cody from 12,000 km away got a haircut!

Tom Cooper - 2020-02-07

@don trump : Bullseye !

Sam Ferguson - 2020-02-07

@Tom Cooper dumbanddumber.gif

don trump - 2020-02-07

@Sam Ferguson you should change your name to soy ferguson.
Go see if your wifes boyfriend will buy you a nintendo switch this time

Sam Ferguson - 2020-02-07

@don trump I don't share your sexual fantasies, sorry to break it to you.

@Sam Ferguson : Yes, you are ...

Weird soda behavior: When cody drinks 200 cans of soda and exhibits strange behaviors.

tensazero - 2020-01-19

Sweet tea isnt carbonated

Change Agent - 2020-01-19

Doing his bit to see how much damage artificial sweeteners do.

Dean Hilleary - 2020-01-19

Pleasing taste, some Monsterism.

NightHawkInLight - 2020-01-21

Interesting. This reminds me that I'm still a bit baffled by your supercritical gas experiments, and why the ratio of liquid to headspace in the vial makes a difference in the pressure.

Sarch Lalaith - 2020-02-01

It's the oxygen content

electronicsNmore - 2020-01-19

Great demonstrations! You look good, keep your hair like that. :-)

KR P - 2020-01-19

He has the hair; so he just needs to start doing bee vids again and we can all pretend to be 5 years younger.

Jortand - 2020-01-19

I am still waiting for those videos.

Philipverne jules - 2020-01-22

........that bee dance for which a German scientist received a Nobel Prize has now been rebuked..Also it appears that bees can sense electric fields . .praps Cody should look into it. Bees can be trained like dogs for a reward to fly to certain odours.

Bryan Fisher - 2020-01-23

Soon he'll even start harvesting his pee to dump on a bunch of straw to extract the nitrates.

Brandon Mills - 2020-03-31

Ayee.. u gotta admit he had some nice shaggy hair 😀

connor marriott - 2020-01-19

"But it's not! Isn't that WILD?"

My God, I love how enthusiastic and excited you get about science, Cody, even after all these years you're still so passionate! Never change, buddy!

L4r5man - 2020-01-20

Cody: "Hi, can I film you when you're cutting my hair?
Haridresser: "Uuummm..."

Cody: "Don't worry. It's for Internet."

Edward Grossman - 2020-01-19

He is going to “will it charcoal” his hair, I just know it

Hakon * - 2020-01-20

Edward Grossman he’s already done that

Aaron Tuplin - 2020-01-20

Lol will it puddle

Tim Fubar - 2020-01-22

If he can charcoal carbonated water I'll be impressed...

Henk-Jan Bakker - 2020-02-03

@Tim Fubar You need a shit ton of water to make it visible but you can actually do that.

Frogz - 2020-02-14

@Tim Fubar easier would be using charcoal to produce carbonated water

Choas Biscotti - 2020-01-19

Seeing Cody all shaved and groomed is like watching one of those sci-fi movies where the aliens make near perfect clones except for one tiny difference between the original and the clone.

Cody'sLab - 2020-01-18

Video isn’t sponsored, I just have a mild addiction to sweet tea.

Baitrix - 2020-01-19

I mean who doesnt

Jonathan Kreycik - 2020-01-20

I love the haircut. This is your best look yet!

Indefinite Artblock - 2020-01-21

Who doesn't like tea? 😛

Gerson Moraes - 2020-02-02

I would take 3 years of consumption to get on similar amount of cans.

Jack Hudler - 2020-02-17

Girlfriend haircut

Andrew J - 2020-01-19

Cody: here's an experiment

Fanbase: hmm yes, you did get a haircut

Mikrom - 2020-01-19

Lol Cody that was a great intro next time just roll with it and say "welcome back to Cody's lab" after the filmed catastrophy 😊🔬❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

libhranan - 2020-01-19

This vid let me finally grok how Priestly was able to get pressurized CO2 into water by placing it in a 100% CO2 atmosphere at standard pressure.
Thanks!

Robert Geer - 2020-01-19

While getting his haircut, do you think he talked about all the charcoal he's eaten?

Neil the ass titan - 2020-01-18

This guy touches mercury with his hands but uses gloves to open seltzer.

Perfect Stranger - 2020-01-19

I was thinking he was wearing the gloves so he wouldnt warm the seltzer. I feel like assuming hes afraid or overly cautious for no reason would be insulting his intelligence.

spookq - 2020-01-19

Have you ever tried opening sealed bottle with just your bare hands? It'll tear them up

Leib33 - 2020-01-20

@Gordon Langell Wooooohooo! Scientificy answer. I'm impressed.

Ben - 2020-01-21

What does Cody know that the seltzer companies don't want us to know???

Joey Mormann - 2020-07-22

Mercury really isn’t that dangerous. If you eat tuna everyday you are far more likely to get mercury poisoning than if you swish metallic mercury around in your mouth twice a year. So touching it once for views is far less dangerous than driving to work in the morning.

James Grimwood - 2020-01-19

“Pressure units”.

That’s it, from now on I’m referring to all my units by their usage, not their names. So it’s 4 time units before I have to go out, and I’ll drive 8 distance units to get there.

BA - 2020-01-22

Imperial or weird units of measurement?

Pone - 2020-01-23

BA Imperial or practically standard units of measurement?

Yaroslaw Kaminsky - 2020-03-12

When I was at school studying physics some 25 years ago (I've won my country Olympiad on Physics once and 2 3rd places) I had few somewhat old textbooks with olimpiad-level problems that used CGS units (centimetre-gram-second). So while it was helpful to think of them just like units, you'd be very careful with the constants in equations.

BA - 2020-03-12

@Yaroslaw Kaminsky I just avoid equations 😁

But your academic achievments are pretty dang cool!

Yaroslaw Kaminsky - 2020-03-12

@BA It was cool but it did screwed me up later in University by blowing my ego just too much, it was tough few years recovery. But in school days I was smart, cool and popular teen. Not so much now (and I like it this way better:)

MattsAwesomeStuff - 2020-01-19

You look good cleaned up once in a while. Overdue haircuts getting done make me feel like I'm in charge of my life again. Little things.

William Wilson - 2020-01-19

"How long has that been there?"
I've been sitting here watching your videos for a few years now...

Scott Family - 2020-01-22

This is interesting. For years and years I’ve seen little “pumps” that would attach to the top of the soda bottle, so you could pump it up and keep the soda from getting flat... according to this, it would still go flat. Now I want to buy one of those pumps to see if that’s trie

fraidknot - 2021-04-26

I'm catching this video over a year later and I was wondering the same thing.

merlinthegray - 2020-01-19

"Description down in the link"

I love that kind of word transposition.

John Fleming - 2020-01-19

Well good thing you recorded the process of stacking those cans! A lesson we've seen Cody learn many times over. The law of partial pressure does always amaze me, though; it seems so counter-intuitive.

Zachary Allen - 2020-01-19

"Description down in the link."

I love it.

Angel De Hoyos - 2020-01-19

9:25 “description down in the link”

Niels Daemen - 2020-01-23

9:24 so you can hear the d

Christer2222 - 2020-01-25

my brain auto-corrected that lol nice catch

Ali McPeake - 2020-01-25

I CANT BREATHE

JohnnyRealDeep - 2020-02-11

I'm sure he noticed during editing but was like "better this way, it is"

Lord Samich - 2020-01-22

Now: Gets Haircut
Later: Gives up on Science, and buy's motorcycle.

Ryan - 2020-01-19

Had I seen this a few years ago my mind would have been blown. Studying chemistry has slowly sapped the wonder from some things and massively increased it in others.

Sleepy Dog - 2020-01-19

when you dont have a green screen, use a flannel background w/ a similar coloured glove 👌

JordanToms - 2020-01-19

If that wasn't a "Cody's Lab" intro them idk what is lol Cody in a nutshell ♥️

MrMegaPussyPlayer - 2020-01-19

6:27 Dunno where I learned this ... but this is also the reason why you don't mix two refrigerants in a cooling system.

Dancing Rain - 2020-01-19

See the link in the description. You probably learned it from Cody :)

MrMegaPussyPlayer - 2020-03-10

@Dancing Rain Dunno ... in my mind there was an animated explanation ... tho I only trust my memory as far as I dare to throw my brain ...

Gunhaver - 2020-01-19

I loved the editing in this video. I really liked how you cut the audio while speeding up the video, but then still had it sync perfectly after the speed up. It kept you from having to do VO AND you still get your DiResta speed up shot. I honestly will remember this method for my own use later

StiaanyBoy - 2020-01-19

That haircut is looking sharp, Cody Don! Thank you for your effort and content over the years! As a fellow Utahn, I hope to run into you one day, but regardless I'm proud to be in this community with you.

Fuvity - 2020-01-19

holy shit cody breaks my expectations everytime, love this channel

Shaila - 2020-01-19

The blooper at the start was perfectly timed.

BibiBosh - 2020-01-19

Shaila perfect staged and perfectly faked . Yeah cause 200 cans takes 5 hours!

Squaid Ink Arts - 2020-01-24

Thank you Cody, you made this video right in time! I'm studying chemistry and have been wondering how the partial pressure affected the equilibrium and you explained just that. The way I understand it from your video is that only the pressure of the carbon dioxide is important for the solution's concentration, in this situation. In theory it doesn't matter what pressure there is in the container of any other gas involved.

Glen Collins - 2020-01-19

Gotta love partial pressures I automatically work with them when doing calculations but I still don’t really expect in real life (unless I just did the reaction/ calculations and since I am a geologist and not a chemist the reaction usually happens long long ago and I am looking at remnants)

Also

Nice cop out with the cans 🤣 I wondered where that was going.

Krankie V - 2020-01-19

My initial reaction upon seeing the first part of the video- wow Cody cut his hair! Then at the end a timelapse of the actual haircut 🤣

William Borgeson - 2020-01-19

I couldn't stop laughing when you knocked over the cans, and I know you loved doing it! Keep being you Cody!

J J - 2020-01-19

I would have to nicest head of hair in town if she was my hair stylist. 😉♥️

Johnathan Corgan - 2020-01-19

"He cleans up well."

Eric Singletary - 2020-01-19

awesome video, I love seeing science shown through simple means. I'm curious to see if you'll ever do a video on how sugar reacts to styrofoam.

MiqelDotCom - 2020-01-18

"CAUTION: Objects behind you in the camera are closer than they appear"

Muzik Bike - 2020-01-19

I read this just as it happened. God

BibiBosh - 2020-01-19

MiqelDotCom it was fake

Jason Meyer - 2020-02-07

Thank you for this clear demonstration of Dalton's partial pressure law. Visible, explainable, and simple - for a complex idea. Perhaps another idea would be why it's more difficult to breathe at sea level with high H20 vapor pressure in the air.

Lothar Karling - 2020-01-19

Great video! This is one of the most tangible examples of Dalton's law of partial pressures that I've ever seen.

CR1Tr - 2020-01-20

With the way his hair is cut and how it matches with his beard, all i can think is Reznov going "Freedom for you Mason; not for me."

HotelPapa100 - 2020-01-19

Perfect comic timing of that last dropping can, too.

Robert Leitch - 2020-01-19

Things I learned from this video: my cat has either an interest in science or empty beverage cans lol, and Cody is either sick of the long hair or has a new girlfriend.

iwanabana - 2020-04-11

This is beautiful stuff, cody, your work, your effort, your explaination, your delicious fail, and your haircut.

n9103 - 2020-01-19

Poor Cody! The effort to make a unique intro was appreciated :-)
No more Mountain Man Cody? or more of a throw back to younger Cody?

Yaroslaw Kaminsky - 2020-03-12

This concept, that speed of reaction, surface equilibrium, osmotic pressure are dependent on partial pressure only was single most amazing thing for me I discovered in Chemistry class in University. As a physics boy I thought of pressure as something universal, almost independent of medium before that.

Hisui Tsukino - 2020-01-18

I did not expect the hair cut Cody, it looks nice btw.

Geoff Graham - 2020-01-19

@D C Yeah. Wonder what Kanyon is up to these days..

Frościak - 2020-01-19

looks kinda worse tbh :(

Chris Olinger - 2020-01-19

The question is, did he get her phone number despite wearing the chain mail?

DanR - 2020-01-19

Anyone else thought she looked a bit like Kanyon?

artaud - 2020-01-19

@Frościak i like it, looks sharper

Sanity016 - 2020-01-22

new year, old Cody. it's like a time machine! seriously though, I love the haircut. must make showering a whole lot easier too.
