1:38 I learned a new technique!
Chemestry never never get boring bcz there is always something new
Yes lol, I will be using it from now on
Damn, I starting to get a little jealous of all of these energetics that you're making. I guess it's time for me to start stepping up my game. 😂😉
Yea this project tho cost me hundreds of dollars so making these energetics comes with a financial cost to say the least
@@reactivechem7408 if I were to do this one, I already have everything I would need except the nitromethane and oleum and I can make the oleum easily. Well, not easily, but you know what I mean. But yeah, just need the nitromethane.
Ohhhh I thought you meant the entire synth, I’m turning this dpx-1 into BNTFO-1 so it gets even more complicated
@@reactivechem7408 no, no, no. Lol! Although, now that you say that....
Hahaha! Just joking. You're the king of energetics, my friend. I'm just the guy who deals with the elements and what they can do. Lol
Next time you do something similar where an exothermic reaction is making things take too long, maybe raise the beaker in the ice bath, and add a stir bar underneath it? Get the cold water moving, and if that's not enough, maybe salt in the ice bath too?
I tried but the stir bar in the beaker isn’t good quality so it just fucks off and doesn’t work
It doesn’t surprise me that the nitroacetaldehyde oxime was troublesome. Aldehyde chemistry exists only to torment hobby chemists.
I could not agree more, I hate the stuff so much
Nice work, sir!
Fuck me I love seeing your projects get more and more complicated. If I can ask, how old are you? Or did you complete some formal chemistry class in College?
Keep it up dude you are the freaking G of energetic chem
Damn hot
Undoubtedly so
very strong video! I might want to add something very minor. The correct term is hygroscopic with g, not d
Loving the videos!!!
How does the nitromethane react with base to form your nitroacetaldehyde oxime?
What I believe is happening is the first reaction of nitromethane and sodium hydroxide creates sodium methazonate but since it’s a strong alkali solution it quickly turns into sodium nitroacetate which when acidified with hcl makes the freebase which is our nitroacetaldehyde oxime
@@reactivechem7408 Ah alright thanks. I thought some sort of Henry reaction would happen perhaps, but that didn't make sense with the outcome.
That thing looks like chloro platonic acid
It's so YEELLLOO
Yes very yellow
this is very cash money of you to share these expensive projects with us lol 🤣
What is the easyest, cheapest and a powerfull explosive?
Trinitrotoluene (TNT)-oy-oy
Erythritol tetranitrate (ETN) (somewhat sensitive)
Mannitol Hexanitrate (MHN) (sensitivity comparable to petn)
Sorbitol Hexanitrate (SHN) (sensitivity comparable to petn)
...
RDX=nitration of hexamine
Urea Nitrate
INFORMATION IS A HUMAN RIGHT
@@okay8632 thank you 😂💥💥💥
This is hilarious

love the minimal amount of glassware in these videos, makes it easier to replicate.
