Just subscribed a few days ago. Hearing you saying you're gonna quit these chemistry videos is totally fine. You should do what feels good to you. I absolutely enjoy your videos which are very informative to me as I have a beginner interest in chemistry. Thank you for your contribution to that. Cool video this is! Best wishes from the Netherlands.
PS 12:24 someone should sample that awesome kick
Oh my gosh, that would make an awesome kick. Maybe I should start sampling all of my drums with ReactiveChem's explosive tests lol.
That would be hilarious
Wow, that azide is some scary stuff! You know you're working with a dangerous explosive when you're comparing it to C2N14!
Good luck figuring everything out, and thank you very much for all your hard work
I totally understand the need for taking time away from the channel itself. I am currently doing the same and just storing any video clips that I make in an unedited form. I do still record a lot of video, but I just store it all now and will release it all one day when I feel like I would like to do such a thing. But yeah, I know we'll hear from you with new videos one day and I'll be here waiting for the notification, buddy. No matter how long it takes. Take as much time as you need for you, even if that means years away from the channel. So what's best for you. 🙂
Thanks for the videos you have done, and best wishes for whatever you move on to next.
I've been wondering how tetrazines are made. Thanks for making this.
Good luck and I hope you are well.
That camera's microphone captures the reports nicely, scary how loud these little crystals are. Good luck on your future and thank you for the awesome videos!
We will miss you but great luck in what you choose to do.
Thank you, I may end up making more vids in the coming future but I have no promises as to when that would be
Great video! Surprised it took me this long to find the channel, maybe you'll revisit it someday if it sounds like fun. This stuff is obviously work, though, so no pressure. Videos are usually better when people enjoy the process, too.
Can you make a video showing the complexities and processes involved with making acetic anhydride? It would be really interesting to see!
Great video man, the YouTube chem community won't be the same without you! We'll all miss seeing you're content and hope you return someday. And congrats on building your channel up past 5K subs, I dream of the day I pass 2K, lol!
Good luck, you’ll definitely get there soon enough
Good luck man! You really make a very high quality videos so I hope you will come back one day to show us more interesting stuff.
I’ll make more, just not for a while
Just discovered your channel, and am slightly bummed, but stoked you're working on you. All that means is, if you come back, you'll be a better you. bonus. Thanks for what you've made so far!
And if you don't come back, enjoy life, and thanks again!
Thank you for your library of contributions!
Well, I hope you get whatever you need to get sorted, sorted. I definitely hope that one day you might consider coming back to us, however I understand how important it is to take time to yourself. Best of luck to you, and hopefully we will see you again someday sooner rather than later.
I’ll be back, probably a vid or two over summer
This man is so underrated someone get nilered for a collab
I love these videos even if I don't know what's happening
Good stuff, but what a shame, I might've been too late to find this channel.
Thanks for everything! Good luck out there.
Thanks
Sorry about your vacuum pump and thanks for great content!
You're a smart kid. I've been involved in synthesis and can understand there is an art to the science.
What would it take to keep you going?
Nothing really, it’s more the fact that college is taking up a lot of time and during the breaks I get I am really lazy. I still love chem
@ReactiveChem I'd be happy to sponsor
I could put you on my payroll
I did peptide synthesis and used balloons also :)
Lol don’t worry about it, I don’t need the money currently. I just can’t do chem when I am in college and it’s hard to find the time anymore
Thanks for the fun videos!
If you want to keep using the broken graduated cylinder safely - at least spend an hour, use a diamond file to cut a clear line on the broken glass graduated cylinder then cut off the sharp part. At the end, the sharp edge can go through flame polish process to make it smooth.

Bro you either power through it and you'll end up like nilered and explosions&fire or you fail like the rest and end up like dougs lab and others. Although I do hope you succeed in this YouTube game as there are not many science youtubers out there.
This dudes gonna be on the news one day…..
Please do ETN synthesis and how to detonate it!
I hope you're doing well.
We will be waiting for new videos when you are ready to come back.
Diazidotetrazine: Another carbon nitride! (although more stable than azidoazide azide)
If you can ever return, I'd like to see cyanuric triazide (2,4,6-triazido-1,3,5-triazine). Time for some more carbon nitrides.
That was something I was planning on doing, maybe I’ll try to get to it this summer
@ReactiveChem Let's see. :)
Who remembers backyard ballistics on TOTSE way back when? 😂
Hope you're doing well and that life is good.
I am doing well, I hope its the same case for you :)
@ReactiveChem I'm doing ok, glad to hear you are too. Any plans to make any videos? If not I totally understand.
@Chemistry of Questionable Quality I have a couple possible ideas for future videos but I have no idea when I’ll be able to get to them. I guess whenever my schedule opens up, I’ll hopefully be able to film something.
@ReactiveChem awesome, have a great night!
thanks for making this video!
neat compound, love it. Goodbye for a while now.
Goodbye
How about Nitrourea synthesis of HMX...
It's been a year! Get your ass back in there and educate us please! Dammit I was really looking forward to you coming back..... We miss you
I wish I could :( suuuuper busy tryharding in college rn
@ReactiveChem understandable samonella had the same fate

It's important to take time for yourself. I've just found your channel, but it is an absolute joy. I hope you can find your passion again, and may your future be brighter than an uncontrolled thermite burn.
ReactiveChem - 2022-01-07
Yea hopefully when I get more time and less lazy I’ll be back at it
