Haha I mean Hamilton has interviewed other chemistry youtubers before and his work has interested me since quite a while ago. I just never made content about it, but that will certainly change in the future ;-)
Hamilton Morris is a really great human and cooler than he might think. One of my favorite nerds or people who I never met.

Worst trip of my life on 2ce. Everything became fake and wrong any everything everyone said sounded sarcastic so the cops trying to reassure me over and over that they were "just trying to help" sounded like they were mocking me and the more i freaked out the more they tried to persuade me they were just there to help. "We only want to help you, we're not gonna hurt you". It was the hellish feedback loop.

2C-E is a weird one and it's quite powerful. 2C-B and 2C-I are much more friendly. I didn't like 2C-E either.

(this is how i know my comments are shadownbanned lol) With -E both times, i found had the worst bodyloads from, so i could never get comfortable enough to enjoy it.
Meanwhile, with -i had a whole house party up n jumping n going crazy. Me and my mate were k hole buddies that night (he's go into one, i'd wait n take care, then he did same for me, until he got stuck on a kitchen table at waist height for 5 minutes)
I took lsd once and started believing I was mentally handicapped my entire life prior, and individuals were just too kind/caring to tell me the truth. lolol. Individuals always telling me I'm so smart throughout my life as a way to compensate for how mentally handicapped I was compared to others.
Shulgin is the whole reason I majored in O-Chem. The 2c compounds were pivotal in making me who I am today. That along with the amazing gift from Hofmann. . .

Man, Hamilton sure has aged! I guess we all have! I never knew he did actually chemistry. I always thought he was just a receptacle for drug disposal! Explosives and drugs were always the precursor to finding a love for chemistry. It certainly was for me! Any chemist who denies this, I don't really consider them to be a true chemist. I always thought drug laws were so stupid. Its like Hydrogen, legal, carbon, legal, oxygen, legal, MDMA, ILLEGAL! Its like saying lego bricks are legal, but if you build a lego car, then its illegal!
Yes we all aged and Hamilton really does a lot of chemistry and knows a lot of chemistry. Not only that he also knows a lot of things in general, knows so many people, has so many connections it is incredible. Also how deeply he thinks about stuff is just absolutely fascinating to me. And yes I fully agree that it is insane that MDMA is illegal.
give him some hair dye and Elias a wig, they pass for 25 ;)

Sounds like I'm no longer the only YouTube chem guy to handle organotellurium and organoselenium compounds, very interesting idea to make psychoactive substances with them! I'd have been too concerned with the toxicity to even consider it!
Well you are still the first! I mean the same goes for me, but Hamilton has definetly proven me wrong on that especially when it comes to psychedelics.
The next step is to find a mu opioid agonist that is also a 5ht2a partial agonist as well. I think kratom alkaloids could be modified to do this as they already have a structure that partially binds to 5ht2a. Anyone have any ideas? I'm a home chemist so I can't do this sort of expensive experiment but I make 7-oh-mitragynine all on my own. 😂
@kalebdye4378What’s your process for 7-oh synthesis? Extraction of mitragynine and then oxidation?
I mean if you really want to figure that out the first step is to do some thorough research. This is indeed very complicated stuff, that you have to think about for a long time and do a lot of experiments to get anywhere.
