Hello Dr Miles, I hope this becomes a viable treatment, are there studies that could show us how to avoid cells becoming cancerous in the first place?

@GeologicalNerd - 2025-05-04

Radiacode's stuff is fantastic. I've had the small one for a few years now. It's a lot of fun to mess with. Although mine is for a few mineral specimens that I have.

Awesome vid Dr Miles!

Dr miles, someone is attacking your channel by sending bots with subtle but negative comments to drive the rest of the audience away using AI

@johnnybhoy4278 - 2025-05-04

I'd like to offer my disproportionately large love handles to science. They just need to come get them.

@digiryde - 2025-05-04

Cool information. Something that hit me was the replacement/reprogramming of white fat to "beige" fat for people who have issue losing weight (or staying warm). Certainly there is the potential off "negatives", but would they be worse than the weight loss potential?

Just at thought.

@clickandmiss - 2025-05-04

@1_Divinity_1_X - 2025-05-04

So just fast 2-3 days with vitamins, salts, protein. To starve fat and not muscle? While taking drugs to balance the body? Thus reducing your chance of getting cancer by 30-50% but not surviving cancer. While being in a cold environment to increase brown fat in order to challenge cancer eating rate? Unfortunately such a method does nothing when diagnosed.

@burt591 - 2025-05-04

Can you keep us up to date about this?
I'm kinda skeptical about cancer news, it's like batteries breakthroughs new, there is always a new breakthrough and then nothing happens, you never hear about it again.

Edit: What I'm saying is that making a follow up 1 year or so later is a good way for channels to keep themselves honest.
Otherwise they just end up spewing science slop, without any scientific or journalistic rigor.
The system as it is now rewards hyping up any news that sounds good, without any filtering, you get the views regardless of it ending up being true or not

@kwamenaplays5899 - 2025-05-04

This comment I second

@asdf30111 - 2025-05-04

@ggtgp Only thing even the rich don't want to die from cancer, and the very rich have ways of selling a cheap solution for a lot more money by having near total control over it anyhow. We also have gotten many cancers to be more curable at later and later points.

@Mvees - 2025-05-04

@ggtgpif there’s no money in it for big pharmaceutical companies you won’t ever hear about the research again

The hardest moment was feeling unattractive. My body softened, my skin sagged, and I avoided mirrors. Then one day, my granddaughter drew me with a crown and said, “Grandma is a queen.” That drawing hangs in my room. Beauty isn’t about skin; it’s about love, wisdom, and presence. Children see it clearly. We should, too

Have you considered the many alternatives? Trad care only adds a few months (average), for all that suffering.

@thehoop74 - 2025-12-30

This will never be mainstream. There is no money in it. We have to cure ourselves.

@Phil-D83 - 2025-05-04

Side note. Giving the tumor an infection with a specific pathogen is an interesting approach. Most cancers are more vulnerable to same due to their mutations. Helps the immune system see the problem. This is an interesting approach here as we could poison the local energy supply to the tumor.

@lizekamtombe2223 - 2025-05-04

Might add immune activating genes to the fat cells as well. Need to get rid of them later of course but maybe could even get the immune system to clean them up afterwards.

@babybalrog - 2025-05-04

There was a study where they gave rats the flu vaccine and the closer the shot was to the tumor the more the immune system worked against cancer.

@Venkolm - 2025-05-04

Good note!

@ThatUkrainianGuy1 - 2025-05-04

What happens when this so called "engineered infection cells , who are exposed to our own healthy cells runs out of cancer cells to infect and then , as a result evolutionarily gets selectively bread to infect our healthy one over time? (Survival of fittest)

@peterrotrovich1402 - 2025-07-18

I have metastasis 4, man breast cancer, cancer went to my long and my right lymph node under my arm pit. I did 42 days fasting, cancer in my lungs is gone, cancer in my lymph node is gone, too.
But my tumor in my breast shrank but still there. I lost 14 kgr from 88 kgr.
Feel very good, very active, eating veggies and fruits and nuts. Occasionally eat meat ( tenderloin and chicken liver ) no junk food and cookies, no alcohol drink or soft drink.
I will do other fasting of 42 days in October to starve more the cancer. Fasting is not easy in the first 5 days after that is easy.

@ChetJang - 2025-12-11

I am doing this with fenbendazole and my leukemia. Fenbendazole blocks glucose uptake by cancer cells and blocks microtubule formation. I am doing much better.

@TRUMPmyOSHI - 2026-04-19

Where do you find fendendazole?

@Neveryoumind-o1o - 2026-07-25

It's sold as panacur by most pet shops..

@hungrymusicwolf - 2025-05-04

So what you're saying that me always having my thermostat on 15 degrees is helping protect me against cancer? I'll take it! Now I just need to convince nature to stop warming up my home so much during summer and I'm set for life.

@TheFrewah - 2025-05-04

Cancer cells divide continually. That requires energy and the favorite kind is carbohydrates, the more refined the better. Unlike normal cells, they don’t about insulin level. Notmal cells will not consume glucose unless there’s insulin. You should definitely cut down on carbohydrates to avoid cancer. There’s no such thing as an essential carbohydrate.

@MentalLentil-ev9jr - 2025-05-04

@TheFrewah You've taken the info given in the video and extrapolated it to mean something else. Carbohydrates are an essential part of a healthy diet, you can live without consuming them, but you will not be healthy.

@boro.purvi.sled.pikoto - 2025-05-04

@MentalLentil-ev9jr yes you can, tune into carnivore diet with open mind, don't just reject it cuz ur stubborn, best way to know is if you try it yourself

@magyararon6918 - 2025-05-04

@MentalLentil-ev9jr Carbohydrates are not an essential part of a healthy diet and you can be completely healthy without consuming them.

@Myth0z.Praxis - 2025-05-04

@TheFrewahThat’s a huge oversimplification. There are no essential carbohydrates like there are essential amino or fatty acids... but that doesn’t mean they’re unnecessary. Carbs are the body’s preferred energy source, especially for the brain and red blood cells, which rely heavily on glucose.

Cancer cells do tend to consume more glucose thru the Warburg effect, but so do healthy rapidly-dividing cells. Carbs don’t cause cancer. Avoiding carbs will not “starve” cancer without starving the rest of you. There’s no clinical evidence that carb restriction prevents cancer in the general population. What does help prevent cancer? A balanced diet rich in fiber, antioxidants, and whole foods.... most of which come from plants (carbs!).

While the body can produce glucose from protein and fat (via gluconeogenesis), it’s inefficient and puts metabolic stress on the body long-term. It raises risks of malnutrition, kidney disease, and muscle deterioration.

@Stormer_IC-XC - 2025-07-18

That's the false hope they sell you to keep you in the allopathic system. Keto and other thing such as fenbendazole and ivermectin work.

@ekbergiw - 2025-10-15

Gotta say, as a full time freezer forklift operator, this was a welcome piece of news 😅

@Gengh13 - 2025-05-04

One thing worth mentioning is that Dr. Thomas Seyfried continued Otto's work and discovered that cancer not only feeds on glucose but also on glutamine, so there are current therapies that suppress glutamine in a pulsatile fashion while having a low level of glucose that are being tested.

@ThatUkrainianGuy1 - 2025-05-04

And then it has been recently discovered that fenbendazole blocks glucose and glutamine pathways in cancer cells. No need for a freezer, and not even for a keto diet, although it would help tremendously as well. Fire your "doctor", let the scientists genetically engineer themselves.

@tnekkc - 2025-05-04

Miles should have mentioned Seyfried.

@presence5426 - 2025-05-05

Interesting approach. Cancer can also metabolize other amino acids, possibly even certain fats. But there could be wide variance as to the type of cancer & the fuel(s) it prefers. So there could be a therapeutic angle in there somewhere. Unfortunately, some cancers adapt, and can burn more than 1 fuel... But I have read papers claiming that SCFA's (like ketones) cannot be burned by cancer cells, and even have anti-cancer effects.

@32523Bwahahaha - 2025-05-05

@presence5426 incorrect , leukemia cancer cells, and other types of lymphatic cancers not only feed on ketones but prefer ketones.

@presence5426 - 2025-05-05

@ I'm referring to Feitelson et al 'Short chain fatty acids in cancer pathogenesis', but it looks like the authors have a major competing interest. Where are you seeing evidence of ketone preference?

@Freedomistman - 2025-07-21

I had cancer and went 100% Keto and my DEATH SENTENCE vanished 15 years ago.

@dekimtan - 2025-08-04

what type of cancer did u have

@Freedomistman - 2025-08-04

@dekimtan It started out as bladder Cancer and then spread to my lungs and liver. My lugs had 2000 small tumors, too many to count actually. After throwing my body into the most EXTREME Ketosis (the kind they warn you not to) My cancer started reversing. I should also mention the Nutritionist who helped me had my Dr. put me on 2000mg per day Metformin which I am still on today had he warned NEVER to stop the Metformin ever! I also had to drink to full gallon of water per day! Also heavy B vitamin complex with extra Benfotianmine up to 2000mg per day which he called "cancericide" to stop inflammation, it even stopped my headaches! Inflammation is the super-hwy Cancer rides on! (Also called Vit - B1 Oil soluble!) Also to lay in bed until I got 12 hours rest!!! If I could not sleep at night then stay in bed until I got sleep. IF I never slept DO NOT LEAVE BED. Lots of rest and NO hard work! Cancer finds and binds to Lactic acid sites like over worked muscles for some complex reason I can't remember now but rest and taking it easy is critical. Also critical was a weekly 48 hour fast and a monthly 97 hour fast. IT WORKED!!!!! They gave me 9-12 weeks to live and to put my affairs in order. When Science failed me I went to a Nutritionist, I had nothing else to lose at that point. Keep in mind I tried all the standard cancer treatments so I say WHY NOT do BOTH at the same time. Cover all bases. Good luck and God bless.

@tomfish1285 - 2025-09-08

This type of comment is extremely widespread in the carnivore/keto group and I couldn't agree more. I've been carnivore for two years by necessity and I feel fantastic at 62.

@Freedomistman - 2025-09-08

@tomfish1285 Also It's official now that Metformin taken as a cancer prevention drug in people at strong genetic risk for developing cancer has a 58% rate in stopping Cancer from ever getting a foot hold. Again This drug helps your liver get rid of sugar. It makes sense since humans spent at least 200,000 years as meat eaters. You find mountains of animal bones in "Caveman" caves but not any cake, cookie or pie making tools. Go Figure?

@astralascendance - 2025-05-05

A summary for y'all:

The video discusses the historical and modern understanding of cancer's metabolism, particularly focusing on the concept that cancer cells have a voracious appetite for glucose. This idea, initially explored by German physiologist Otto Warburg in the early 1900s, suggests that cancer cells thrive by consuming large amounts of glucose and producing lactic acid instead of utilizing oxygen efficiently. The video explores various dietary approaches aimed at starving cancer, such as the ketogenic diet, but highlights their lack of scientific support. Recent research from the University of California, San Francisco, introduces a novel approach by genetically engineering fat cells to behave like brown fat, which can outcompete cancer cells for glucose without requiring cold temperatures. This innovative method, termed living cell therapy, shows promise in inhibiting tumor growth and represents a potential future direction for cancer treatment, leveraging the body's own metabolic systems to combat the disease.

May the Lord help us to find a cure for the beast called cancer...

@quantumkookaburra - 2025-05-05

Excellent video as usual. I was diagnosed with metastatic cancer (stage 4, terminal) 7 years ago (still here!) and knew I had to find my own way out. An infinite amount of time researching cancer science has kept me alive and the cancer is now undetectable. Here's the kicker: cancer involves both cancer stem cells (CSCs) and their progeny, daughter cells. THEY BOTH HAVE DIFFERENT METABOLISMS! While daughter cells are dependent on glucose to fuel glycolysis, CSCs are not. CSCs can make energy either through glycolysis (the Warburg Effect) or if glucose and glutamine are inhibited, they can switched to normal, 'healthy' metabolic function, including burning fat to produce ATP (energy). To be clear, I have never tried the Keto diet - there is too much science that shows cancers ability to switch metabolic pathways when denied any source of fuel, and that fat is the preferred fuel of many types of cancer. For example, the dominant metabolic pathway for prostate and pancreatic cancer is Fatty Acid Oxidation - a Keto Diet can only make those cancers worse. Simply put, diet cannot cure cancer, it can only help. But you MUST understand which type of diet helps for which type of cancer. There are hundreds of different, unique types of cancer and there is no single diet for all of them.

@Nepperoni - 2025-05-05

7 years is crazy

@Existing4theMagic - 2025-05-05

Thanks for sharing! Which diet did you find most beneficial to your health? I lost both my parents to cancer and several aunts and uncles. They were healthy eaters. I really want to increase my chances of survival with my doomed genetics.

@presence5426 - 2025-05-05

Fascinating. It seems that the blend of macros can't be a cure, they could only be optimized to combat the type of cancer. Maybe. The real potential for diet therapy may be various phytochemicals: curcumin, EGCG, anthocyanin, fibers, etc etc. There are literally thousands of potential anti-cancer dietary constituents. And they could also be tailored to the type of cancer.

@dyfrigshandy - 2025-05-05

So what's your cure? Tell us!!

I saw a show where a lady had advanced bone cancer and went up to the mountains to die. She lived in a cabin, foraged plants and ate a lot of pumpkin. She didnt die and 10 years later returned to her family.

@robmiller1808 - 2025-09-09

So she didn't have "advanced bone cancer".

The most hopeful video I have ever seen. Not just because of the possible treatment of cancer but the fact that scientists are exploring the idea of using the body's resources to heal itself.

@ReViv4L - 2025-05-22

Not surprising. Medicine is evolving from symptom management to regenerative approaches.

@TheRobojay - 2025-05-27

Not to downplay on the info from the video, but there are more promising treatments for starving and reducing cancer. One of the things I didn't see mentioned here are that cancer cells also feed on glutamine, not just glucose, and autophagy being incredibly beneficial. By taking a drug that temporarily reduces glutamine, and by doing a ketogenic diet, you rapidly starve off cancer. This is currently being used with great success. It's still in the "experimental" phase in that it can't be used just by anyone, but it's honestly criminal it's not talked about more. Another thing that is not talked about enough is autophagy, which can be boosted in many ways, which then eats up cancer cells. We have the cure. It's here. It works. But it doesn't make much money. $10k chemo pills do make a ton of money though. Sad actual cures get buried. But the future looks bright, not before a lot of people suffer though.

@Odnodum - 2025-05-29

I’m sure they’ll find a way to turn into an insanely expensive invasive genetic treatment down the line.

@jordanfortner9703 - 2025-06-02

@TheRobojayIt’s almost as if many mystical/religious principals include fasting, and our ancestors knew all along that there were universal treatments for major and frequent illnesses. It’s almost as if there have been dozens of studies that reflect the inconsistent nature of almost all the recent “advancements” in medicine and everything medically “modern” gets overturned 5-10 years later. But, hell, I ain’t no Doctor so what do I know?

@AllAboardTheFreedomTrain - 2025-06-03

Yeah, but they'll still need to put all that through their 'rigorous' safety testing just to keep any of that type of approach shelved as long as possible. But have no worries, they'll make sure and rush out the next greatest version of the clot shot VIRTUALLY UN TESTED.....ASAP!!! The government's in bed with big pharma, and doesn't want you well, because that doesn't make them money. But the problem is the universities don't want to actually find cures because then they'll quit getting the funding that they get every year for pursuing cures. It's gonna take research one hundred percent funded outside of big pharma, and the government for it to actually make an impact with true results. Unfortunately, that's a huge task knowing the dollar numbers that are involved.

May not be a cure for all cancer but my dog had a very aggressive tumor in her liver and the vet gave her max 3 months to live. After finding out about keto and fasting for cancer i put her on a strict meat only diet and completely throwing out her old kibble. I honestly didn't expect much but she lost weight, gained energy and continued to live way past the 3 months. The next vet visit a year later the vet said the tumor was completely gone and said to keep doing whatever i did. They said they had heard many similar stories in dogs reversing advanced cancer stages with a diet change like this. My dog went on to live for 15 years before finally just dying of old age. Im no doctor but there is something there. When i see such drastic results it's hard to ignore.

@BlueAgav3 - 2025-05-26

Source 'trust me bro's'

Even if true this is a classic of correlation doesn't equal causation.

How do you know it was the keto diet and not something else you did or even just luck that your dog got better?

There are numerous studies showing keto doesn't actually work to kill cancer as stated in the video

@JohnHarvey - 2025-05-26

@BlueAgav3 what do you mean source? This is my own lived experience. Believe what you want. Not trying to tell you what to do and not telling anyone to just trust me. I didn't change anything else at all with my dog. All i did was change her shitty dry kibble to cooked meat. I later started introducing veggies. Could have been luck but even my vet said it didn't make sense and was too advanced.

@peterpan408 - 2025-07-19

@lewiswood5155
Actually its an N=1 Anecdote.
Correlation is promising relative to Anecdotes.
Establishing Cause and Effect will likely always be impractical and unethical.

@peterpan408 - 2025-07-19

Even if you try this on yourself as well as all the usual treatments, you will have no idea if it helped you recover or extend your life.

@JohnHarvey - 2025-07-19

@peterpan408this may be true but considering my own personal experience and seeing such a drastic change I wouldn't just rule it out. It may not have the evidence needed to say with certainty that it cures or even helps certain cancers but there's no reason to say "oh there's no evidence so no reason to even bother".

@Mab-pw4yt - 2025-09-12

I think this method was used and has helped a person I know. His cancer did not respond to radiation and they could not use surgery. It was brain cancer diagnosed with stage 4. Since his lifespan was deemed short (approximately 3 months) and they had no medical proved alternatives, he was given the opportunity to join a test group using some kind of gen therapy, I think it was the one you describe. After some time (half year?) the remission was beyond comprehension.This was more than four years ago. He now live a more active and happy life than ever, even supporting family and friends, renevating his house etc . Feels like a miracle. Maybe it was and is, this method and also lots of love and lots of prayers!

Now we know more, and are winning the battle with many cancers, but we need to keep learning because cancer is so devious. I'm certain someday soon we will crack this nut and a diagnosis will not mean death. Thank you for this exciting news!

@BizAutomation4U - 2025-05-04

You said at the end "what if cancer shifts gears and starts burning fat". It can't burn fat, the warburg effect has proven this. Cancer only runs on glucose and glutomine (Dr. Thomas Seyfried), and can not use keytones. Using pressed pulse method, removing glucose and pulsing on and off glutomine (we can't live without it, as it's an essential amino acid), is very promising work. Combine this with the beige fat work, and who knows, maybe the anti-angiogenesis work from Dr. William Li (a lot of research dollars went into this in the early 2000s) and there might be a combo therapy that keeps death at bay. I don't have cancer but if I did, I'd be doing my research along these lines.

@ElijahEDREF - 2025-05-04

Better to call him Prof. Seyfriend rather than Dr. Seyfriend.

He's fantastic, the mirochondria model changes my mind about cancer.

@menyasavut3959 - 2025-05-04

@yw1971 - 2025-05-05

Unfortunatly they are highly mutable, so it's reasonable to assume they'll mutate at some point. We may cure 99% of it, but not 100%.

I’ve been scanning the comments to see if anyone else had said it.

Your description is quite deft ;)

@island4603 - 2025-05-26

I started carnivore 3 years ago, because I had hyperthyroidism and many enlarged nodules. I switched my SAD diet to eat fatty meat, lots of animal fat, dairy and no sugar, carbs or starch.
3 months after starting my new diet, I had a check up with my doctor - and my nodules was gone and perfectly normal. And my TSH-levels was stabilized with no medication.
I told my doctor about my new diet, but he just laughed in my face.
I do believe that cancer and maybe other diseases cells trives on glucose and we have SO much added artificial sugars in our diets today. I think thats why we have so many people dying of cancer, even really young people. Just like fatty liver and diabetes is booming in young people, that didn’t exist 10 years ago. Just my 2 cents.

@oliphauntsneverlie6227 - 2025-07-17

I hope you fired your doctor and got one with some common sense to go along with his medical degree. I've been Ketovore for 15 months now and so many of my ailments (random skin rashes/dry skin/arthritis/knee pain, ets...) have disappeared to include GERD and high blood pressure. Still on small dose of thyroid meds but hoping to see some improvement there too. Also no more allergy pills! Keto and carnivore work despite what the medical "professionals" say. There's just no money it it for them.

@daopunk - 2025-07-17

But he says in the video that keto diets DON'T actually starve cancer, brown fat cells do. Did you not watch it before commenting like most keto stans?

@suzannehodgkins7197 - 2025-07-17

@daopunkTrue keto is a high fat diet.

@Rendref - 2025-07-17

@daopunkbut they also said it helped them. Seems to be if you tried a thing and it helped you it is proof enough for that person. Seems like apparently it works for some people, you cannot deny that

@daopunk - 2025-07-17

@Rendrefhowever it "works" for someone is cool, but the video did explicitly state that there is no evidence that keto diets affect cancer outcomes.
