TNT [trinitrotoluene]

Dug - 2023-11-17

These are shot on a $30 ebay phone, edited on free app VN. It misformats some shots on rendering, stretching them out like that. Sry.

"Just let it burn down, man." BEST ADVICE EVER.

@psycho_pill - 2024-07-21

This is probably the best video I've ever seen. The fact that you mention all of the slightest details of synthesis, means a lot. I know that from my own experience. Such videos teach me and others a lot. Thank you!

@SaintBrick - 2023-12-20

I was going to go to sleep and I just had this feeling that I wasn't really on enough lists. I'll sleep well tonight knowing that I'm being watched well. Thanks for the videos... and company.

@Roshanimani - 2023-11-17

I like these videos because it's a great balance of accessibility. The overall procedure is laid out so even I can understand the general process, but there's enough detail given that I learn new terms and materials to research on my own.

@CatboyChemicalSociety - 2023-12-14

There is another way to deal with the TNT waste liquid and thats to boil it a bit and add peroxide to oxidize everything organic into CO2 then subsequently distil HNO3 and re concentrate the H2SO4 or distil it aswell.
green chemistry is good chemistry.

Using KNO3 would probably get too viscous to stir properly, but you’d need to figure out how much to use and try it on a SMALL scale to know for sure.

Whatchu got, man!? Anything rare? Ive been researching Von Hertz old patents, he tried to come up with an alternative melt-cast nitrate from MEA. It was hygroscopic, so then he found a higher energy one in the oxamide form a supposed condensation of MEA and Oxalic Acid. It's known as NENO apparently. Ive been stuck on the condensation part. I thought simply dropping MEA into Oxalic Acid solution would cause condensation, but no luck on getting anything to crash out after nitration. Should be an insoluble nitramine melt-cast product. Any advice?

@nfpa7044 - 2024-02-10

Can i use Ethanol instead IPA??

@duganashley1337 - 2024-02-10

Yes, alcohol was the original purification method before development of sulfitation and was only replaced because sulfite is cheaper than ethanol as a bulk industrial product. IPA is just used because it is cheaper than ethanol.

I too would be very interested in seeing an easy way to make a noncorrosive way of making rifle primers!!! Would definitely be good knowledge to have in my head for the uncertain future!!

@duganashley1337 - 2023-12-12

It's legal if not storing or transporting or making weapons. Practically all explosives were developed by civilians. Govs pick them up after they find out they are useful. In the future, explosives will be used as chemical power plants for cities and bursts of high energy electromagnetism. They havent got that far yet, but someday. I just do research & development. sometimes may or may not be used by government interests. If ATF wanted to harass and terrorize me they could find something or just create a new interpretation of their "regulations". It's not possible however to regulate explosives. Practically any material can be used as an explosive by anyone with knowledge.
