But while the fans enjoyed the facilities, most of them didn't know that living around them - and beneath their feet - were young homeless people left on their own to survive dangerous, subterranean lives. Twenty five years ago I was a drinking alcoholic I lost most things in my life including my marriage and house. I got sober and a life beyond anything I could have dreamt. Your prayers have been answered as you weren’t greedy with your request but the rewards never stop. My prayer is that you have all the rewards I've had and more.
I got two kittens when I first got sober, one lived 19 years and died shortly after moving in with my wife.

Do you really think, if as minors we aren't considered old enough to do those things, taking drugs is a choise they can be makeing? Some people don’t want help some do. It was a little girl that got jumped by a big group of girls in my old neighborhood. I was surprised because it’s a decent neighborhood but the girl ran to my house beating on my door asking if she can come in and call the cops. It was about 12-15 girls chasing her so I let her in and we called the cops. I gave her my number after she told me her story. Her mom and dad went to prison and the state gave her to her Hispanic grandma who didn’t speak English. She didn’t know her grandma and she only spoke English. She ran away and showed up at my house again. She didn’t feel comfortable there because she couldn’t talk to her grandma. Anyway I made her call her grandma and my Spanish speaking neighbor translated. Her grandma said it was ok for her to stay with me a complete stranger and she lived with me for 4 months. I got her in school got her clothes and treated her like I treated my son. I was so happy for her and liked having her around, one day she decided to go with some boy she met who was 17. She moved house to house with him and ended up pregnant at 15. I was heart broken that she left and chose the wrong path. She ended up in and out of jail and now has 3 kids and is still going from house to house. That was 11 years ago when she left my house and she still keep in touch with me to this day. She always thank me for trusting her and giving her a chance and is sorry she didn’t stay. Everyone told me not to let her stay because I didn’t know her. I don’t regret helping her and still wish she had stayed with me. She was beautiful like girl who was sweet as pie. Life gave her a bad hand.
When I was young I remember roaming these places, more than 11 years ago. Underground labyrinths. Dark and cold. Sometimes we would hear someone walking around these tunnels and we would just run away thinking its some soft of demon or a scary guy. Never did we think it could have been poor soul with a broken life. Feel so bad for them.

I've seen places like this in small towns in Texas, living in absolute grotesque squalor addicted to one thing or another. The problem is the same around the world. Broken governments, broken people, broken societies. This is not a Ukraine crisis. It's a world crisis. It's merely a symptom of people everywhere losing hope at rapid rates.
It's all part of the human condition.
There is quite a society in Los Vegas, living in the underground flood pipes, They rarely get wet, or have enough water to cause a flood. a lot have clean floors, some have wet floors many are a 1/4 to 1/2 mile far back in the pipes, to leave, they have to go through many others homes to get outside, but the people are used to it!!!

İn the US for example there are some states with less homelessness, and there are places like Detroit. Overall America is still suffering from huge divide between poor and wealthy, doesn't provide enough social support for veterans, criminals and addicts. That's why US is associated with this problem, and that's it. İn my country for example vets are not homeless because they mostly die from starvation or lack of medical help.
This is a matter of facts, and wether or not people think of your country as a shithole is a matter of opinion. I'm not trying to change people's mind about my country by rejecting the truthful critique of my government actions, and nor should you. Our people are struggling in many similar ways, in many different ways too. You should love them enough to except that your country has problems my dude, as should we all. Again, it's other people's will to decide wether US or my or any other country is a shithole. But It's a matter of fact if there is shitty side of reality in that country.

Yeah I agree with the post above, drug use definitely preceeded their homelessness. One a 15 year old girl left cuz they yelled at her. One 14 year old boy left cuz the 18 yr old woman was sleeping with him and one man had an alcoholic mother. One of three(that we heard from) had a real problem. We didnt hear from the others probably because they are there by choice.

About 25 yrs ago I lost a friend to suicide because he had done so much glue that he forgot how to read and write. This is happening here in America but South America has been hot especially hard with this glue/paint epidemic.

I'm reminded of my great great grandmother who, as an orphan of An Gorta Mor, was transported at age 15 from a workhouse in Ireland to Australia. No-one gave a damn about her except her. She now has hundreds of descendents across the country. Nothing expresses defiance more so than survival. I hope for the best for these children.

@Spacer's Choice The problem that I have replied to is that "they don't have an adress to be registered to". If they dont have an adress they can just go to a homeless center. Now lets be serious, how many shitty jobs like car wash or daily construction worker require an adress or papers? They can get easy money IF THEY WANT TO in the city or in the countryside, but they choose to sniff glue instead.
@south park It's not like that there if it was that easy these children wouldn't be homeless. I also think that they most likely have some serious issues with depression and drug addiction because of their home life. They will need help reintegrating back into society from someone like a social worker and possibly rehab counseling. I'm not sure where you're from but someplace like this it's a bit harder to work or seek services without the right documentation or money
@Sara Ford its that simple, but yes they cannot get over their depression and the sniffing of glue makes it harder for them. they need to be helped by the government or an organisation by force. they should be monitored so that they dont sniff any glue anymore and put to work. but then, if the government used that much force on free people westerners would have called it dictatorship or some bullshit.
