I'd suggest reading Engager's publication along with each video, as i'm generally shit at explaining things. Let me know what you think! http://www.sciencemadness.org/scipics/Engager/TzOTC/Synthetic%20routes%20to%20tetrazole%20compounds%20based%20on%20OTC%20materials.pdf Pages 5-7
OMG I'm dying at the sudden explosion, and then you just saying I hate it when I spill explosives in the labđŸ˜‚đŸ˜…
Same
I wish I could find my reagents in my back yard, nitric acid would be cool... or sodium hydroxide or sulfuric acid.
Have you considered living on a Superfund Site?
Not exactly reagent grade CaO ;)
This is pretty cool. It's much more entertaining that watching a silent video with text instructions, and it's nice that you're showing ways to make this in a home lab.
You'd get a lot less foam if you heated the CaCO3 to convert it to CaO first.
Man I love the garden shed chemistry you do.
Stupid question btw, how old are you?
hey, it hasnt been a garden shed for at least 3 years ok :P
And I am 19. For now anyway
+Extractions&Ire It'll be different next year :/
Lucky, I have just a table outside.
@Extractions&Ire bruh howd u have a killer home lab at 19?
Very cool video! I like your crude approach on where to get reagents :)
Looked like you're getting attacked by bees while huntung for calcium carbonate.
This is cool, i can't wait for part two.
Love the play on channel names
you should be wearing goggles
I want to peel the blue plastic film off your scale so much.... OCD overdrive.
well this is old
So can I substitute the CaO with CaCO3?
Yeah it’ll just produce CO2 gas
You can use cyanuric acid instead urea right? Instead of releasing ammonia it releases carbon dioxide, which is much softer on the lungs.
Yeah he did it in a future video.
Couldn't sodium carbonate plus urea make sodium cyante
Why can't I find anything on wikipedia about calcium cyanate?
Because Wikipedia is woefully lacking in information.
Finds calcium oxide in the wild. Says it's old so its calcium carbonate. Why not bye some antacid?
Calcium oxide sourced from the local farm

Hey, so it seems! Thanks for commenting and letting me know! Would've been nice for youtube to send an email or something to me... guess that's too much to ask. I'll take the win
