Fantastic. You're doing some very interesting reactions that most people (many chemists even, I don't doubt) might never see without your help. Thanks!

Pink Freud - 2020-12-27

I can attest to this. I was today-years-old before I even saw what these compounds looked like, and I'm working on a PharmD and have been doing chemistry at an above amateur level for almost a decade.

ChemicalForce, you should really be proud of this channel, it can only be a matter of time before you gain even more popularity. One thing I might suggest would be to include captions, I am German so I am quite familiar with your accent (or at least those very similar) but I worry it might be difficult for foreigners to understand all of your words, and they deserve to be understood!!!

FAN LIXIA [5D11]樊禮夏 - 2022-04-11

@Pink Freud 二氧化

Edward Elizabeth Hitler - 2022-08-17

Agreed. I'd never heard of ozonides being made/used til I found this channel.

crazyjerz - 2020-03-18

please, make a video about HSO3Cl, HSO3F, TfOH, tetrafluoroboric acid, or HSbF6, you have access to literally everything and I always wanted to see some superacids in action

if you're really insane, you can throw some K or even Cs into them, it'd be amazing

sierżant chipian - 2020-03-18

it's a really good idea, for 99,99% of people this would be the only time when they could see superacids

Ahnaf Abdullah - 2020-03-20

I wanna see HSbF6 dissolve glass and ceramics :(

Californium-252 - 2020-04-24

(H₂Cl)⁺ (SbCl₆)⁻
(If (H₂F)⁺ (SbF₆)⁻ can occur, why not?)

alysdexia - 2022-02-22

@sierżant chipian no Napoleonic numeric notation

Hydrogen H2 Energy - 2022-01-14

Respectfully, I would like to express my admiration for the enthusiasm that created such experiments and in chemistry. I do chemistry, and I made an ozone generator. I tried such an experiment with sodium hydroxide and potassium hydroxide in interaction with ozone gas. And very noticeably the bases turn yellow crystal yellow, which is very fascinating in chemistry. I would like to see more experiments related to the reactivity of ozone gas. And I would ask the question, what kind of application could this type of chemical change and the production of potassium ozonide have in industry?

PS2 - 2020-03-20

That reaction seems useful to test self made ozone generators, thank you.

All Love - 2020-03-20

You know it's only been a couple months I've been watching your videos. your subscriber content, the amount of people that are subscribed to your channel, is exponentially growing so kudos to you and keep up the good work and be safe as you are very professional and you take your work very seriously which I've learned only very recently to start doing with myself!😘 ps: I think this experiment that you are demonstrating for us would possibly be even more.. well I'm just curious: what would liquid ozone applied to this cesium hydroxide do? the beautiful indigo color of ozone in a liquid form poured onto the hydroxide of cesium should demonstrate an interesting display from near purple thru red(?) I've never seen it done nor even heard of an ozonide so I don't know but I would imagine from Blue to red find some variation in the Purple. God knows, perhaps its too cold but if not maybe you can show us? Thanks again for teaching like this.

ChemicalForce - 2020-03-20

Hi! Thanks for your comment. You can see something like this in my next video where I'm going to tell about NH4O3

All Love - 2020-03-21

@ChemicalForce thank you for your quick reply! I am baffled by this chemical that you just mentioned this thing you mention, ammonium ozonide. I would have thought if you oxidize ammonia it becomes nitrate I mean it that's at least how it works in world's with animal urine if I'm right anyways I don't doubt your correctness I know you're right it's just that you've included new things, oh chemicals Delight

Just Kev - 2020-03-18

This video is so cool I didn’t even know there was such anion, Your channel is growing so fast! Keep up the good work 👍

TheJaguar Mc - 2020-03-18

That's a fantastic reaction, caesium ozonide looked like molten sulfur.
Didn't know about ozonides untill I saw your video.

Also, I have two things that you can try:
1.What would happen when dichlorodifluoromethane (or another type of CFC) mixes with liquid ozone
2.What would happen to nitroglycerin (or nitrocellulose) in liquid oxygen

klaus dieter - 2020-03-18

I never heard ozonides, very cool

Thắng Lương Quang - 2020-03-19

I have worked with potassium oxide, seen potassium peroxide and superoxide, but this is the first time I have ever heard of such a compound as potassium ozonide. Thanks for such a unique and exotic video!

Robert Monroe - 2020-03-19

Explosions are stupid. More videos like this! Reaction exoticity is not in explosions, but in not usual complexes, oxidation states, etc. I would advice to show iron in +6, nickel, cobalt in +4, bismuth +5, electrochemistry of melted salts, for example, fluorides,, electrochemistry of non aqueous solutions. More chemistry of pseudohalides (thanks for azide, but much more! How about SeCN-?). Chemistry of platinum group, rhenium, lantanides. There are much more interesting stuff than explosions. Like who agree. P.S. As professional chemist, like this channel!

Srihari Arun - 2020-03-19

Great as always and thanks very much gor showing some that hasn't been shown in youtube yet.i am so happy to have been able to see ozonides.was dope .keep making good vids

Alex Figueroa - 2020-03-18

Unique footage, amazing quality as always. 🍻
Any chance to get H2O2 in the last experiment with Cs ozonide and water or just oxigen as reaction product.? Btw ozone chemistry is amazing.

balint - 2020-03-18

Ive never seen potassium ozonide! Very exotic videos! Keep up the work👍

peter meisenstein - 2022-04-30

Such a great video. Does Magnesiumhydroxide also react ozone ?

Moritz.S - 2020-03-18

I'm not even able to find an picture of ozonides, and you do a video about its synthesis! that's so cool!

Victor9Sur - 2020-03-18

i have never come across ozonides before very interesting, chalcogenide chemistry is so varied

Nigel Johnson - 2020-03-19

Very interesting chemistry.
So we know how ozides form, but how do they react?

Rihan Al Biruni - 2020-06-27

bravo pour ces réactions que je peux regarder en toute sécurité! Les couleurs de ces dérivés sont surprenantes et je me demande si elle seraient différentes à basse températures!

brutal penguin collectables - 2021-11-26

It's great to see not only so many talented content creators sharing scientific interests, but also so many people supporting these talented individuals in their endeavors. Thank you for the quality content!!!

ChemicalForce - 2021-11-27

I appreciate that!

Unknown 13 - 2020-03-18

Never thought I’d see this! You did an amazing job

terawattyear - 2020-03-18

Learned something new; never seen ozonides before. Very cool. Lighting looks good.

Brazilian ambassador Dale😃 - 2020-03-19

I feel like that mixture of potassium amide and ozonide you made is particularly capable of bangs and pops. It just sounds like a risky combo...

RadioXK - 2020-03-19

How can a man equip with such immense chemistry power?
Also I wonder how you get that much ozone

AMBEE 2772 - 2022-01-08

Ozone generator.

Martin Ivers - 2020-03-18

what happens if you drop liquid potassium or Na/K in liquid ozone?
Can you synthesize ozonides that way?
( Yes I know the product will be all over the place).

SHOORVIR PROGRAMME - 2020-03-19

Being a chemist you made my day by releasing this video...

Akinaro - 2022-01-08

I'm personally more interested not in explosions but weird reactions between two elements or just to see nice recorded footages of elements them self and how they behave when we mess with them 😅

Seal Piercing - 2021-03-10

Potassium ozonide looks like one of those chemicals I'm perfectly happy to make in small quantities in situ if I ever need it for something.

Random Experiments Int. - Experiments and syntheses - 2020-03-18

Very nice video! I really like rare compounds like these. It reminds me of the first time I saw the ferrate(VI) ion in solution.

user255 - 2020-03-18

Plans to publish any videos?

Robert Monroe - 2020-03-19

I also ask author about ferrates!

Demons Headshot - 2020-03-21

Hey did you know you can actually buy potassium ferrate as a pure salt from amazon as a form of bleed stopper or something like that, saw it on another channel

Samarth Hawaldar - 2020-03-21

Hey @ChemicalForce, what is the name of the background score? It's beautiful. Also, keep up the good work.

Luis Pérez - 2020-03-22

from the atomic perspective
How does nuclearization occur as the bubbles in the liquid cause it to become thicker dense or to begin a kind of crystallization?

Oak_meadow - 2020-03-19

Alkali metals in liquid ammonia results in a blue color which is of course solvated electrons. A guy won the Nobel prize for explaining this. Wow saw it dozens of times and I did stop and really LOOK at it.

user21XXL - 2020-03-19

could you show your o3 setup and describe how it works

Demons Headshot - 2020-03-21

I first saw ozonides on nilereds channel where his potassium had layer of ozonide, ever since then I've always wondered about ozonide

naveed gill - 2020-03-19

I have studies a lot about a azonid , today first time i observed the reactions of ozon like this

Ormarion - 2020-03-18

Cool, didn't even know such kind of molecule existed, now I wonder, the ozone came from a tank right?

snowdaysrule1 - 2020-06-26

Dehydrating an alkali metal hydroxide? From an energy standpoint this is some absolute chemical alchemy.

Josh St. Louis - 2020-03-18

Ozone reacts with skin oil, specifically octene-2-ol and creates a noticeable scent

Oak_meadow - 2020-03-19

My friend, you should have been an artist! Your arrangements are just breath taking.

William Domb - 2021-01-02

How are you generating your ozone? What concentration applied?

Ozone eats through most gloves including latex and nitrile.

Suspect you might want to emphasize the dangers of contact or inhalation of what you're making. Precautions like working in a hood may be natural to you but not all.

Rocky Robinson - 2020-03-21

Solvated electron in ammonia is cool.but if you use Trimethylamine instead of ammonia can they be stable indefinitely?

Caesar cch - 2020-03-18

Very interesting video. And the quality is great the black and white backgrounds looks very good!

Trash Compactor - 2020-03-18

I can hear Explosions&Fire screaming somewhere in the distance

Explosions&Fire - 2020-03-19

((aaaa))

Matt D - 2020-03-19

It's true I tell ya... one of the most miserable reactions I've ever done was tin reduction of aromatic nitro compounds to their aromatic amine counterparts... both sides of the equation are toxic and carcinogenic and smell like fermented horse piss, it's hot and acidic, the product is very hard to seperate out because of the wicked emulsions that form... and everything gets stained... YELLOW!

All Love - 2020-03-21

@Explosions&Fire I can't wait to see part 3 sorry there was a nerd in me I'm referring to e and f 3. I do like to see that you two are talkin both both your channels are are among my favorite channels now I guess now read is finishing his Doctorate or he took my advice on the company thing well I mean it wasn't because of me but I like to include myself into things sometimes it's going to be some time before I do some real chemistry give him my location anytime I do any mixing in this area family members go berserk they remember how I was 7 + years ago and really I've got other things to work on so I'll carry on through you vicariously all of you thank you so much for your chemical tutorials insofar as what the whole process looks like with each titled thing. not "how to make or how to do" (so that little johnny blows up too but "this is what happens when this plus this reacts" so I don't have to, even if the title really is "how to make.." or "how to do..." often especially if its titled as such.

Alex Taunton - 2020-05-26

Yellow chemistry... is TRASH.

Excuse You? - 2021-01-25

Huh, I never knew ozonides were a thing; very interesting.

dwaynezilla - 2020-03-19

You noted that there were no explosions, but explosions or not, this is the kind of stuff I subscribed for!

Demons Headshot - 2020-03-21

Yay ozonides, I always wanted to know their property and see their bright red color

stipe - 2020-03-18

Awesome, i didn't know about existence of ozonides.

AstroSky - 2020-03-27

Can you do chemical reactions with azidoazide azide?

fft2020 - 2020-03-26

your videos are a treasure of the internet

Rabih Al-Kaysi - 2020-03-19

How did you generate your O3?

Crazy Nerd Inventor - 2020-09-26

Cf: let me causally melt some potassium hydroxide.
His glassware: just why?

crymsonrain guy - 2021-12-01

didnt expect to see you here…
