"Hydrophobic water"
Well that just sounds like social anxiety with extra steps
No its racist water it calls salt water mean names and demeans sweet water.
Hydrophobic - won't dissolve in water, water feared think of oil
Hydrophilic dissolves in water, water loving think of salt
@you dont know me it steals fresh waters lunch money 😢
sounds like a gay dude who makes up for being in the closet by acting manly and homophobic
it loves and hates water, because it loves and hates itself. it will never be rid of its need for it.
Imagine cleaning the blender after making hydrophobic water :
" Mom I can't clean the blender with water after making water "
😭😭
They just racist
You can wipe off with hands but will take a hell lot of time to remove the silica
@Manoj Salgaonkar especially on the older ones without the removable blade/bottom part
"Is water wet?"
"Not anymore."
"Dry Water"
Wait, Did we just answer if water is wet?
Yes, yes we did
Bar tender: “what will it be today?”
Customer: “water... dry”
🤔😂
@Prodalo 😂 dawg u right, I can tell u are a wise man 👊
@Prodalosorry or person *
@tim Verrecchia Nono i am a man, not a person
Bond also says “shaken, not stirred” 😉
This guy just realized that the algorithm likes the word ‘hydrophobic’ and now he’s never gonna stop
One of my favorite channels, always showing me aspects of science I wasn't aware of.
This is so freaking awesome! Keep on wowing us with these awesome science videos!
Alternative title: "I made water racist."
internally racist!
"I have waterproof socks."
"How do you wash them?"
"Waterproof water."
Not it has been solved
Lmaoghj
Yeah, this is big brain time
Lol
Lol
As for mild layperson science/educational vids, this guy is at the top, I think. It's as always interesting, he includes the basic necessary information, and explains things clearly.
Now that I’ve seen dry water, my life is complete
That sounds like an idea for a world record. And I wonder how big of a drop (or sphere) of water you can make of hydrophobic water?
“It makes the water hydrophobic” I think I lost brain cells trying to figure out how that would work
“Yes I am water, yes I am hydrophobic, we exist.”
@Johnny Axel what does he have to do with anything?
They/them
@Laurent Penot The "H" stands for "hydrophobic" :P
@Sam Keiser Bro, it's been over a year and you're still fighting over a joke? Do something with your life.
@Sam Keiser this post just pop up on my feed rn but just wanna say i really appreciate your effort to actually take ur time to give constructive arguments as well as kindly reply to most of the comments.
Looks like it feels really cool in your hands! But, what would we usually use this for? Is it safe to play with?
Now I've seen waterproof water, I can die peacefully
This guy literally amazes me everytime.😂
Whenever I see one of these videos, I get a nice reminder that science is freaking awesome
Ah, yes, the age old question finally answered. "Is water wet?" Not anymore.
@Nick I define wet as the sensation of touching water so if it's one moilce it is dry but if it's multiple water mocliclus it is wet
@mohawk1010 so everything is wet all the time? Everything exposed to air is constantly in contact with many water molecules.
@Nick Yes, everything is always wet to a certain degree.
I'm an idiot if I hit send on this message. I'm an idiot.
I actually already had a conversation with someone about this. I will literally never think that water isn't wet.
It's such a dumb thing to argue about so why am I doing it?
@Swagbastian Me, I do it as a mix of trolling and enjoying the debate. I know that I'm not going to change any minds particularly since there's this weird psychological thing that even if you conclusively disprove a belief people will still deny it. I am currently in a lazy enough mood that I'm not going to argue one way or another.
I generally don't care what the definition of wet is. I find it fascinating how wound up people get when someone presents the alternative definition to them because really the whole argument is semantics. Many other English words have different definitions that slightly affect the meaning and yet people get worked up over 'wet'.
Though this is the first time I've encountered the wet/dry is a spectrum rather than binary approach in one of these conversations despite the phrase "It's dry enough" being common enough phrasing to indicate the lack of binary. Kudos.
Liquid water is not itself wet, but can make other solid materials wet. Wetness is the ability of a liquid to adhere to the surface of a solid, so when we say that something is wet, we mean that the liquid is sticking to the surface of a material.
Basiclly he found the recipe to Kinetic Sand😂😂
OK. . .the fact that you can make so much solid content from water 🤯 i just showed my freind the alcohol/water turbulence thing and idk. . .it's good for people to see little things like that in person, science is good 😁
"You have become what you swore to destroy"
“Dry water”
The meme with dry water and wet water: Finally, this is my return
Us simpletons: "Is water wet or dry?"
Him: "Water can be whatever I want it to be"
@animation shed post yup
Water is wet...just ask your clothes
@Absolutely not. I'm so glad someone wrote this lol
💯 😂
Me: Water was and is always dry !
Dry water looks like fun stuff!
Is it non newtonian? Is it heavy? Does it float? What does it feel like?
I really would want to test the possibility of a water boat now. Also want to try a pool being half water and half water/silica
Need to supercharge the blender I wanna see what that would look like just way more powdery but still liquid is the goal
Do they use this principle in making those "non-sticky" sunscreen and stuff? Texture looks very similar.
"Dude, could you imagine being allergic to water?"
"Dude, what if water was allergic to itself?"
@Hailey Y
Actually you can be allergic to yourself. It's very rare and really sad since the body sees itself as a threat and literally destroys itself.
thanks abe!
@Hailey Y DEPRESSED PEOPLE ASSEMBLE
I thought you were dead...
I'm allergic to very cold water that has ice in it
Really fascinating, thanks!
“Hydrophobic water”
That’s called anxiety
“Is water wet?” I guess the question is answered ;—;
That mixture is so cool. I must have watched this a dozen times
"Ive created hydrophobic water"
The poor water is terrified by its own existence...
Come give them a break, they’re an introvert
@Makoto Yuki humans are just water droplets mixed with silica...
This comment wins
Honestly......
That's just gen z but water
@Chupakabruhhh Play Persona 3 🤨🤨🤨
Gives a whole new meaning to "is water wet?"
We should be doing stuff like this in school, that would have been so fun
YOOOOO THATS SO COOL! Question, how'd you get the materials?
When you blen it together and say you can still use it as a pounder, what would you normally use that powder for?
The very concept of water that’s scared of itself is something I deeply resonate with.
@DZ3OA no lol.
How does a person simply make water gets a panic attack through claustrophobia from being surrounded by water?
Everything okay at home?
ThatMan Dan no
@Ishmael Zachary NO LMFAO IM A GAY GIRL
Hydrophobia is a real problem in the aquatic kingdom, thanks for covering it action lab
Pov: the person who takes everything literally takes time away from themselves
Thats.......trippy
Introducing: "waterproof water"
Mhm, we have officially answered the question "is water wet"
yes except when it's not
Gordon Ramsay would find "dry water" to be appalling
You again
fancy seeing you here
Lmao
I scrolled down randomly and I found you
THIS WATER IS DRYER THAN MY GRANDPAS NUTSACK!
I would be entertained for hours😂
Can you please do something with micro-balloons? I bought a bottle of them to act as a filler for epoxy to make it lighter weight for airplane models. I used it once and now I'm stuck with a whole bottle of micro balloons. Somehow I think it has something to do with fumed silica.
That stuff at the end makes me think of slime but much cleaner! I’d love to feel it in my hands!
Can this be used to clean drains?
