@Joemama That's a common thing that people have done for centuries. You think you're somehow a scholar for pointing it out in 2019? Were you born yesterday?
Brandon S I wasn’t saying I’m a genius or anything

3. Sell "Eiffel Tower" to unsuspecting marks
you can make this electric by using nichrome wire and hooking a heating circuit to it
"Don't Build a Metal Foundry Until you See This First" Well there goes my plans for this weekend...
Same
Same here :(
I got lucky. I found this video before I had the idea of building a foundry.
I got an old oil stove to use for my coal foundry. Melted my cast iron pan first time...😁
Nah the video isn't that long. I doubt you actually made one.
who else watches these videos but never bothers to make anything?

Brass is made with copper
Rest in peace, you've inspired me to do so many projects and make cool things with all my friends. You will be missed.
YouTube is trying to make me ball my eyes out. Gonna miss you. May your next life treat you just as graciously as this one.
RIP
the greatest youtuber ever... you will be missed brother...
I want to build my first metal foundry just because of you.
RIP 😭
Is YouTube trying to make me cry 😭😭
Eat More no
Yes
Maybe
"The foundry will reach about 2,000 degrees and I know that because it will melt copper"
throws in brass
@Adam Judge 200° difference
@Andrew Flora That's still a fairly substantial difference
@Lisa Henry the difference in melting point between brass and copper is 200° and the metal disguised was copper and brass
@Andrew Flora brass is a alloy of copper.
@David Watson that's what i said....
R.I.P😞
RIP my inspiring kin
Rewatching and makes me sad. Miss you man. Rip
Rest in peace,This is still my favorite King Of Random video,This was one of the first videos I started watching King Of Random videos a year ago.

"Not all charcoals created equal"
Words to live by
For years I have wanted a back yard foundry, my wife is against it from the beginning. Now that I have seen your channel I see a way around her complaints. This will be easy, and she'll have no way to complain.... Thanks, I will be watching a lot more.
@i can almost fart my ABCs ya because I'm 15 going to 16
Make her a heart & she will melt
How so are you going to do that, hmm?
Steve Roush
@Les Hurt was that pun intentional?
i built one of these even though i have a large foundry. i tried to use anthracite coal, which i use in my foundry, it turned the foundry into a fireball.
Thankyou now I can melt aluminium and pour it down ant hills
Username kinda checks out this user...
I am going to miss him so bad
Don't forget about noxious fumes from melting and building anything, even concrete where the lime will eat your lungs and UV radiation from those fires will eventually blind you permanently.
What sort of PPE should be used?
There's no concrete in this. All furnaces fume toxic fumes in the first couple runs. The zinc on the pail doesn't get hot enough to outgas.
Also, if you open it to look at the coals they'll cool off way faster than it will take to have those weak UVs to do anything to your eyesight. Though you must be fun to have at parties. Every party needs one.
A truly inspiring video with clear and inspiring pictures and a commentary that covers all that you need to know.
Full credit to these guys
Been watching almost all of grants older vides today. and it hurts to know hes gone
yeah mate sometimes ur stressed out and you just watch his vids and you feel so relaxed but legends die too rip
Theres 7 million people thinking of building a metal foundry??
I'm one, firing it up for the first time today.
Typically copper with a lead core but composition can vary on purpose, typically steel, and I'd wager steel arrowheads as well.
10Million
10 million now!
Steve Davis yes it's cool
Skyhigh RIP dude u were too young
If your fire extinguisher is melting, you're not using a steel extinguisher.
10 seconds later, It got so hot it melted my steel extinguisher........
hairdryer on the low setting?
Absolutely Amazing, wonderful video. I have always wanted to see such kind of innovative and creative Video.
He’s not gone he’s just more creations in heaven.
Grant, I love when you just do your thing with the Jack of Trade/Nate. Keep it up!
This is so cool!! I wish I still had any drive, ambition, and testosterone left. I might have gotten into it years ago.
Yo! Did you get robbed??
I can’t believe he gone every time when I watch one of he’s videos I Cry🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🤘
When I start metal casting
On my first few attempts I’ll gust cast blocks or similar things
I tried to melt aluminum cans using your mini forge, a couple years ago, with no real success. Thanks to this updated video, I'm going to try again, and I'm going to keep at it until I get it right! Thanks, King of Random!
Nyjg
Did it work
Actually molten aluminum will for some reason melt through steel crucibles, so id definitely recommend a clay graphite crucible
If I was A creator, I can make a new”king of random” logo for him
People should keep in mind, that steel is soluble to molten aluminum(the aluminum will eat through it like acid). Steel is an inadvisable crucible for aluminum. Stainless, depending on grade and finish, will likely handle a few fires. But should still be considered inadvisable.
Never mind contamination.
T Je Suis 19th
Fire Spark yes
What else do you suggest for me to use as a make shift crucible other than a fire extinguisher
89 8 888 I I 88 8 8 89
@Fire Spark Well consider this: steel melts at a little bit higher than copper, so... I wouldn't recommend it. Use a graphite clay crucible.
Wait a minute...
“Your never going to get it on your first try”
Dad? Is that you?
This is great, lad. I think mixing melted aluminum, copper and tin together is a great one to do making your own kind of bronze.
this was awesome <3
Rest in peace 😭😭
Why am I watching this? I don't even know what a metal foundry is . . .
Awesome Atheist Caramel akiroti
lmfao
how... how do you not know what the words Foundry and Metal mean?
viewing it...and still have no clue as to what a metal foundry is...? indicates someting faulty with ones grey cells...!
Facts!
I've been looking to get into metalworking myself, and had quite a few questions about what sand to use, how to build the Kiln, ETC, and be honest, this video has answered virtually all my questions. Thank you so much for posting it, and I will be watching the rest of your videos on how to make it, and how to make it work right. :-) have a lovely day. :-)
The King of Random - 2016-11-18
What's up guys?! I've been wanting to make this video forever and really happy it's finally done. I hope it helps answer all your questions! If you have any more questions, just reply to this comment and ask away. I have to run out to the Chiropractor, then film a video with Cody's Lab, but I'll be back to read them all later tonight. Happy Casting!
Peter and Corrie Bubik - 2019-04-10
@Skovmusen yup, he has a video.
Lee Freeman II - 2019-05-25
I’ve read that I need to glaze my crucible with borax. How important is this?
All_Natural - 2019-08-01
You won’t see this, I know, but thank you, and rest in piece.

A very impressive video might I suggest making a Foundry through a large piece of granite it will take many hours of drilling so you don't crack it will be worth the while
