Hi, thanks for the videos,, I have a question as a novice, is it possible to have one of the rotors spin in opposite direction using the same setup (single stator and 2 rotors)???, assuming you have mounted each rotor on separate shafts of course. thanks
Hi, as the stator produce "rotating" magnetic field this is not possible, because field rotates in same direction.
It may be possible in 2phase synchronous mode, in theory, but that you need to consider, that magnetic field of two rotors will produce quite a lot of vibration in axis of rotation. Like this https://youtu.be/TWjiBuVQy84?t=3m27s
The worst thing is how it will behave when the coils heat up...
Здорово! Спасибо за видос! Лайк
Thank you!
@ ILusys Systems
It seems that your coils energises the full magnetic path of the rotor per phase.
Regular bldc's don't do that. How many ohms are your coil rings?
Thanks for sharing.
hi, they do kinda - they use iron core to "short" magnetic circuit.
I cannot measure resistance precisely now, because all of my meters are damaged in ohms somehow :) but it is about 1 ohm
Can someone tell me what will happen if I increase the number of winding in 3 phase generator's stator...
How will it affect the output, will the output voltage, power increase?
The number of turns will increase the Voltage.
@Vineet Chauhan can you make dame video tutorial ang make money on youtube.
can you please make generators instead of motor there already many good motors there, i think this can be a good generator, i just wonder how much power it can output
It will have same power rating as a motor would...
-losses of motor and losses of power "conditioning"
I worked for a company that made axial flux motors. I was told to say that the motor was 90% efficient. It was closer to fifty per cent. Is that the case here?
Depends how you load the motor. Obviously if you stall any motor you get 0% efficiency, so all machines like this have range where efficiency is evaluated. I have graph in this vid where I got about 80%, it was peak though.
Most Axial flux have 12 coils, yours uses three. What is this style of winding called?
it's called serpentine coil
Can this work with an iron rotor?
like iron without magnets? not really. In theory you could use aluminium plates instead of magnets and that would work like induction motor
@Ilusys Systems Aluminium is not a ferrous metal so how can it be used?
@Xierxu it works by electromagnetic induction, conductive materials will create oposing magnetic fields by inducing electric currents. Basically same as induction motors - they don't use any magnets to operate.
@Ilusys Systems With an iron rotor the induced current would be stronger.
@Xierxu Sure, you have to "close" magnetic circuit somehow. In induction motors this is critical, as flux created uses power. With pernament magnets flux can leak, which will decrease volumetric efficiency or motor cost to power ratio.
Obviously these axial motors are pretty low-tech thing, but their power is in super simple construction.
❤️
how you give power to the motor
is it 3 phase, and if yes then what device you used to step down voltage
@dipesh nangle you can use motor driver for RC planes. Or you have to make your own, which is what I ended up doing.
A motor made entirely out of glue.
This is the stuff of nightmares.
polymetric its not a problem since it is used only for tests
Not just glue, but hot melt glue. But hay, when ever have stator windings gotten hot? 🤔
Interesting video even if I was cringing all the way through it. 👍
How can you...... with single wire... its inpossible
No it is not, it is a syncron motor like ac wall clocks.
Unwind any motor and you will find a single piece of wire, except steppers.
using this on a lathe a really a childish idea
*glassblowing lathe... But yes I used steppers instead because I was like nah, I am not messing with this stuff
i need build RC drone 130KV motors 8 pcs, how ? all what thailand can buy have only 1000-2000KV motors, too little no can fly whit 20 KG water tank.
I believe, you are at wrong channel here :D
You are reaching industrial servo motors region here...
How 'bout this https://youtu.be/O6sy5bt4D-Y?t=319
@Platinum Sky i need made my wife farm acricultural watering and fertilice drone. but ready motors cost too lot no money buy.
@Platinum Sky this i think have more kv more power i not know how made and what have strong can fly whit 20 liter/20 KG water plus drone. i has only looking how more have KV then strongest engine have and can lift more weight. RPM not mean anythink cavitation only lot high RPM and not can lift anythink. RPM need be perfect to own propeller not more newer. KV i think have important.
@Platinum Sky size about 50+100 cm diameter, 6-8 ,motors, i no know weight, how much need battery, but need carry 10-25 liter water/fertilice normal fly.

Hi there! I am tasked with making a motor and saw your design and thought it was quite simplistic and successful! Could you share with me some dimensions for this build (the one pictures at 2:17)? Also, do you have any info on how I might create my own 3-phase ac driver? Lastly, is this motor self starting (i.e. if you give it ac power will it begin turning on its own)?

Use the N:N+1 ratio. All BLDC motors do.
