@XOLiD
Jesus, people like you still exist? That's sad.

paul Joyko - 2019-10-10

You guys know that the imperial system is defined by the metric system? So it literally is the same

unknown unknown - 2019-11-30

I bet his penis is that long😀

YtoSk - 2019-12-23

@paul Joyko no it's not. imperial system was defined by drunk people flipping coins and rolling dice.

paul Joyko - 2019-12-23

YtoSk
Sure, but nowadays it’s scientifically based on the metric system

Sean Donaldson - 2017-10-31

Photons are waves, except when they aren't.

Geoff Graham - 2017-11-01

Very nice Richard.

SynthRose - 2017-11-28

I'm not really qualified to say this, so take this with a grain of salt. However, I think it would be more accurate to say that light behaves like a wave *most of the time*, and only collapses to a particle when it's measured.

David Wagner - 2018-06-28

Seems like aeroplanes through air. Wind gets cut by the aerofoil create vacuum or low pressure which can lift a plane and after that they connect again on the back of the aerofoil. You ever seen a wind tunnel.

David Wagner - 2018-07-21

Just looked up, it's the same, just british english. I'm Austrian.

Linas Vaičiukynas - 2019-08-19

Like a drunk man, he looks very light when he is sobbing, but when he hits the ground its another story :D

"Cod-" Oh it's Cody's Lab! Ok, I'll watch it.

We need to get you some metric boots. :)

[Whatever name goes here] - 2017-11-17

+Nik Uh well 12 inch boots are practically 30cm boots. But yeah counting with 30 in base 10 is a bit meh

Apache Chief - 2017-11-27

AirCommandRockets Get you a boot that can do both.

0xB4DC0FF33 - 2018-05-23

just need to add 3cm to the boots, then 3boots = 1meter

Garganzuul - 2018-05-28

Can't find the reference for how the yardstick was originally used for this purpose... Anyone got a link?

Jordy V. - 2019-12-01

@John Doe No. But it's more practical if you have have 12' boots to use the imperial system

RadioTrefoil - 2017-10-31

Could you use the moon as the disc for a large space aragoscope?

skeptic moderate - 2017-11-10

Korenn Yes, but we're talking about something MUCH farther away than the light source in the video. The details we would look for (planets, etc) would be so small that any tiny imperfections would probably render them indistinguishable.

gr8 nibba - 2017-11-10

Netravat Pendsey it's a formula for focal point. Think again. But you may be right.

Max McCormick - 2017-11-18

That's a really good idea whoa

jesus rosales - 2019-06-28

(

BunnyHelp - 2019-09-01

@Korenn I would imagine that if we were determined enough, we could smooth out the moon with machinery in a ring-shape that's "aimed" for what we want to take a picture of, and take that picture with a satellite during a lunar eclipse

Robb403 - 2017-10-31

Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.

danpearson - 2017-11-03

Robb403 haha

Royce Barber - 2017-11-05

So you're saying tech is tech. Because magic has always been tech and nothing else. Even a spirit realm, is physical in some way, it has to be made of something or it wouldn't be there.

Robb403 - 2017-11-06

All "magic" is is tech not yet explained by science. Science outs everything eventually.

Psion Crystallis - 2017-12-02

id say magic isn't tech regardless of how advanced science gets, because magic is an art. with technology humans are interchangeable - one person puts a blueprint out for say, a water heater, and any other person can come along and theoretically follow that blueprint and make the exact same water heater, working exactly the same way, looking exactly the same. i say theoretically because obviously nature hates perfection so there will be defects in the materials, a person being incapable of actually making it for whatever reason, random meteorite coming down and smashing the water heater and builder, etc...

with magic, it's individual. you cannot separate the person from the magic, because the person is the medium through which the magic spell is enacted. that means a person's personality, experiences, mood, etc will "color" the magic. so one person casting a fireball would maybe have a small compact flame with intense heat, another might wind up with a purple fireball despite there not being any metals in the flame and physics be damned, another might have a flame that flows like water.... even though the spell is the same, you simply can't get the same results every time like you could with science.

now, if you are referring to manipulating magical forces without the human element, using machines or whatnot, that's something else. that's more like thaumaturgy. ;3

asdfghjkl lkjhgfdsa - 2018-09-22

@Psion Crystallis what the fuck is this nonsense...
Science is magic... without bullshit like this.

Sam Legaspi - 2017-10-31

Captain Cody is back at it again with things that shouldn't be possible but he's God so it is possible.

Ian Cloyd - 2017-11-02

Of course this narcissistic moron would like this comment. You are worshipping a guy who not only fell for a blatantly obvious scam (Ignoring and dismissing all of his fans obviously thinking he was intellectually superior) he also sent them money to brag about being a "finalist". Such an incredibly pathetic situation the whole thing was. So incredibly naive.

Sam Legaspi - 2017-11-02

Ian, lay off some steam.

sam neale - 2017-11-03

Ian Cloyd you can't make a claim like that without proof

skeptic moderate - 2017-11-10

Ian Cloyd It's a joke bud.

The Gaytheist - 2018-06-10

David Burroughs - 2017-11-01

Totally cool experiment, finding the focus point is how we can "refine" our reception of radio, tv, and etc., signals from the stars. Dependant on the focal point, which varies by the size of our sun - ours is millions of miles away, and could be perceived there, and then reflected and sent back here, for our goodies to get on it. If there are any ....

Mitch - 2019-03-19

He might as well had said that he was going to transport to the moon by closing his eyes. I would have found either statement equally dumbfounding. BUT it is Cody, so I have no reason to doubt that if he said he was going to transport instantly to the moon, he would do it. He did have less than stellar results(get the pun?) at electroplating his bumper, so maybe if he tried to transport himself, he might only make it to Albuquerque. Not a big problem, New Mexico is a cool place to see.

Evert Chin - 2017-10-31

Cody is probably the only youtuber i still watch even if his videos quality is almost unwatchable.

Gabriel Rodríguez Gutiérrez - 2017-10-31

frogbear02 Not about background music, but buying a better camera, a tripod, and doing a filming/photography course wouldn't hurt this channel :P

PahlkeBrothers - 2017-10-31

AJ Patterson so much this!
It's not, and should never be about the quality of the image, but rather about the quality of content.

frogbear02 - 2017-10-31

welp, he has already bought several better cameras in his days. dont forget hes still managing a real life, and buying crap for more experiments and videos as well.. i think you guys are just being a bit too picky XD

boscorner - 2017-11-01

I think it's partially because some of the things he films , like this video, are just difficult to film clearly.

burt panzer - 2019-01-13

Meaning, the content will be worth watching even if nothing is recognizable or has been filmed at night without proper lighting, as this video illustrates.

actually pretty cool that people can spot a tiny portion of re-dub by the qualities of the background noise and the room response, audio compression has come a long way....

Kanglar - 2017-11-01

Cougars scare me more than wolves or bears or anything in the wilderness really. If a cougar wanted to kill you, you would most likely be mauled before you ever heard or saw it. I had one following me for almost a half mile through the woods before and never noticed it at all, and it was right behind me, like less than 50 feet. And I was hunting, trying to walk quietly and paying close attention to my surroundings. The only reason I know it was there is because there was snow on the ground and when I turned around to head back the way I came there were cougar tracks right on top of mine all over the place. Scared the crap outta me. I could just shoot some wolves or a bear, but you can't shoot a cougar if you're dead before you see it.

Cody'sLab - 2017-11-01

Meh, smack them upside the head with a shovel and they bound off without much more of a fight. coyotes though while you are hitting one another is jumping on your back.

SeanHodgins - 2017-10-31

Cody, get a Sony A7s and use the extreme(but still usable) ISO of 409,600. You could have a must shorter shutter and measure way more light.

Dave B - 2017-11-02

Whiles he at it he can buy a $250,000 panavision camera to do his regular shooting with. And Everyone knows the A8Sc has and ISO of 509,000 lumens and would make a better picture then the D5 when used with an F stop of 7.8364 and a 107' offset perpendicular to the radius of the coin divided by the aperture of the lens taking into account the air between the two..

Bigg Papa - 2018-01-13

Exactly Jeremy, it would be poor yes, BUT MUCH LESS poor than what he has on this shitty AF canon rebel. which is an amateur body, where as the Sony a7s is a higher quality body. Either way yea it would noisy/grainy, and not the BEST of images, But were not talking about LET's get a sweet photo for Instagram! No its just for this experiment purpose only! And even then it would still be better than this Canon Rebel! I think people here don't understand photography nor understand what the comment was about stating the Sony would get a better image! REAL "STUPIDS" OVER HERE IN COMMENT THREAD!!

Dave B - 2018-01-13

Wow adam thats very thought out comment and holds alot of value. Good job.

Linas Vaičiukynas - 2018-02-22

Doesnt matter how high ISO you use, if there is not enough light it will be useless :)

nicolasmariotti - 2018-04-03

From an astrophotography point of view, the only way out is to limit the ISO value to lower the noise, and to stack shorter exposures to increase the effective exposure time.

backscan3030 - 2017-11-01

Up next on Cody's lab how to be a peeping tom from 3 miles away XD

When I was in class I'd often forget to bring my glasses, i was short sighted.
It didn't take long for me to realise that when I squinted I saw slightly better.
Being bored and blind in class I took this a step further and made a pinhole with my fingers, what I found was that If I made the right sized hole at the right sized distance I could miraculously read the whiteboard.
I wonder if I was using this same principle
