Giraffe 1X
Giraffe 1X is an X-Band 3D short-range radar intended primarily for the ground-based air defence (GBAD) role, but also providing a sense and warn (S&W) capability against mortars and rockets.
Giraffe 1X is a small and lightweight yet highperforming 3D radar that is easily integrated in almost any type of mobile platform, fixed structure or C² system. The system is designed to deliver key capabilities as part of short-range surveillance and Ground Based Air Defence (GBAD). A feature of the Giraffe 1X is its ability to see down into valleys to detect ultra-low-flying targets. Giraffe 1X offers an early warning of rockets, mortars, drones, missiles and asymmetric attacks from terrorist groups and can be operated by a single user.
