Mildar

The Mildar (turkish: MİLimetre DAlga Radarı, MİLDAR; “Millimeter Wawe Radar”) is an operating in Ka-Band, short range, multimode-surveillance and fire-control radar, designed for the turkish attack helicopters TAI T-129 “ATAK”. The radar is mounted under one of the helicopters wing-based stations, covered by a protecting radome. In terrain profiling mode, the radar creates a terrain profile including the terrain topology and obstacles over the terrain. In fire-control mode, the radar can track up to 50 stationary or moving targets.

The Bilkent-University (Ankara, Turkey) was involved in the development of this radar.
