AR-5
AR-5 was an L-Band early warning and fighter control radar, which was used for air traffic control purposes also (en-route radar).
AR-5 was a frequency diversity radar using two tunable magnetron transmitters. The transmitter's pulse duration and the pulse repetition frequency (PRF) could be selected from the wide range offered, as long as the duty cycle remained approximately the same. The PRF was staggered over seven periods to minimize non-synchronous pulse interferences and non-ambiguous returns.
