S 609
The S 609 was an operating in X-Band low-cost weather radar made by Marconi.
The antenna was a symmetrical parabolic dish with a diameter of 6 ft (≙ 1.8 m) using a Cutler-feed. The transmitter was a magnetron type. The complete transmitting and receiving equipment was housed within the pedestal. The display may be separated up to 1000 ft (≙ 300 m) from the antenna site. Up to three PPI displays may be used, each with a CRT diameter of 12 inch (≙ 30.5 cm).
