RSR 904
RSR 904 “Ngada” (in the Nguni languages, meaning “Meerkat”) is a lightweight (60 kg), Low Probability of Intercept (LPI), Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) 2-D sea and air surveillance radar. It is suitable for detection of dismounted personnel or vehicles in a ground surveillance role, or for the detection of watercraft or aircraft.
The RSR 904 is e.g. used to track poachers and to protect rhinos in the Kruger National Park (South Africa). It has a greater role to play not only in the environmental domain but also in protecting a country’s borders.
