DBRI 23
The DBRI 23 is an operating in L-Band 3D air- and surface surveillance and target designation radar, designed for the French Masurca surface-to-air missiles.
The transmitter uses a carcinotron with an output power of several megawatts. The antenna is protected by a large radome. It provides an inverse cosecant-squared antenna pattern by using of an array of feed horns. Elevation angle information is obtained by the use of stacked beam techniques.
DRBI-23 is installed aboard the French Navy's air defense destroyers D 602 FS Suffren and D 603 FS Duquesne.
