ZW06

The ZW06 is a surface search and navigation radar operating in the X-band. This radar is particularly suited for surface search, low elevation gap filler, helicopter control and navigation. Of compact and lightweight construction, it is suitable for installation on very small vessels. The transmitter/receiver is of solid-state design, except for the tunable magnetron, and the antenna is of stainless steel construction to permit siting in adverse environments.

Operational features include: surface coverage to radar horizon; air coverage sufficient for helicopter guidance; high-resolution for navigation; provision for integration of helicopter transponder systems; digital video processor. Anti-clutter measures and Electronic Counter-Countermeasures (ECCM) provisions include: circular polarisation; logarithmic receiver with pulse length discrimination; sensitivity time control; suppression of non-correlated pulses; tunable transmitter.
