TRS-N

The TRS-N is an operating in G- and I-Band navigation radar developed by TELEFUNKEN. It was a two-band system whose operating frequency could be switched from 5.5 to 9.3 GHz. The antenna consisted of a single curved solid parabolic reflector which was fed by horn radiators. The same antenna reflector was used for both frequencies.

TRS-N was one of the first radar systems built in Germany in the fifties and sixties. TRS-N was mainly used on small vessels of the navy, e.g. minesweepers. 69 radar sets were delivered. The decommissioning occurred with the sale and conversion of the boats at the beginning of the 90s.
