Giraffe 8A
The Saab Giraffe 8A is an S-Band long-range multi-purpose radar featuring active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar technology. This radar offers a combination of long-range air surveillance and anti-ballistic missile capabilities:
- Rotating or non-rotating mode
- Continuous scan (mechanical or electrical)
- 15 stacked beams
- Elevation coverage: 0°- 65°
- Scanning rate 24 rpm
