EIRS
The EIRS (Erken İhbar Radar Sistemi; engl.: early warning radar) is an operating in S-Band long-range early warning radar, developed by the Turkish manufacturer ASELSAN. Its advantages are an active phased-array antenna (AESA), and digital beamforming technology. It can work stand-alone, or as part of an air defence network.
EIRS is a highly mobile radar that uses tactical wheeled vehicles of the 10-ton class for relocation. It is air-transportable with C130/A400M. The deployment and March-Order Time is about 30 minutes.
It is expected that the first of 6 planned radars are being delivered to the Turkish Armed Forces in 2021.
