FPS-303K
The FPS-303K*) (manufacturers designator: LRS 180) is an operating in S-Band mid-range, three-dimensional air surveillance radar designed for detecting low-altitude aircraft. It is connected to early warning and command & control systems and enhances the ability to detect and track targets at low altitudes in difficult terrain.
FPS-303K uses an Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) antenna. By adjusting the lower boundary of the antenna pattern to the angle of clearance of the radar site, the radar can work very effectively. The detection range for extremely low-flying targets is given as 100 km. The radar replaces the used in the Korean Air Force aging two-dimensional radar, which was introduced in the United States in the late 1970s.
