Indra SMR
The Indra SMR (Surface Movement Radar) is an operating in X-Band Air Traffic Control (ATC) radar designed to detect and locate stationary, moving, individual and multiple targets located in airport manoeuvre and ramp areas at extended range even in low visibility conditions caused by fog or rain.
The SMR radar consists of a pedestal subsystem that carries separate transmit and receive linear array antennas with an circular polarized inverted cosecant-squared pattern. It uses frequency modulated continuous wave technology with a linear ramp providing very low transmitter output power.
