1L277

The 1L277 “Sobolyatnik” (kyrillic: 1Л277 «Соболятник», engl.: “Theophant”) is an operating in J-Band short-range, solid-state, ground surveillance radar. It is designed to perform day/night and all-weather location of moving and stationary targets such as personnel, vehicles and vessels. The radar feature automatic transmission of data to the user and can be used to adjust artillery fire, and to detect low-flying unmanned aerial vehicles. The 1L277 radar can track up to 20 targets and is capable of automatic moving target recognition. The radar 1L277 is the first in Russia in series produced portable radar using a phased array. The radar scans an adjustable sector of 60 to 120 degrees and in the elevation angle of 18° without mechanical movement of the antenna.  The information is displayed on a color display.

The 1L277 provides high secrecy of operation from means of electronic countermeasures of the enemy, as its radiated power is less than that of any cell phone. To ensure stealth and noise immunity of the station, the regime of rapid frequency tuning is implemented, which makes it difficult to detect the radar, and makes it impossible to disturb by deception.
